"Alright, that's it for class today. There's only one week left before your final exams begin. I'm sure you're all constantly studying right?" My Uncle's eyes shifted from the stack of pages in his hands to us as we all sat quietly in our seats. "Don't forget to keep training, the written exam is only one element. There is also the practical portion to worry about," His footsteps were heavy as he dragged his feet towards the door. "Good luck." He sighed before he left the room.
The class erupted into a nervous disaster as everyone flipped into panic mode. I groaned internally when I heard Yaoyorozu offer for everyone to study at her house, she got ranked first for midterms, while I ranked second. Her eyes swept over me and I saw her face harden into a scowl. I ignored her as I rose from my seat.
"If we don't pass our exams we won't get to go to summer camp!" Kirishima screamed.
"It'd be pretty hard to fail, unless you didn't pay attention in class." Shoto deadpanned. He also slowly rose from his seat to follow behind me. We ambled side by side into the cafeteria, we ordered food and made our way over to one of the long tables in the cafeteria. We sat down next to each other and I eyed the meal Shoto had. I leaned my chin over his shoulder as I stared curiously at the grey-looking noodles.
"Would you like to try some?" He asked me, already extending his hand out for me to take his chop sticks.
"Yes please," I mumbled before I slid my small hands to grab the chop sticks. Using them, I lifted the thin grey noodles up and into my mouth.
"They taste strangely bitter." I said. He rolled his eyes before a small smile turned his lips upright.
"That's funny, considering you drink easily over one hundred coffee's a day." He teased as he took back his chop sticks from my fingers and continued to eat his soba noodles. I inched towards him and planted a quick peck onto his cheek. His eyes widened slightly as he looked at me.
"What was that for?" He asked me.
"Thank you for hanging out with me, even though I haven't been pleasant to be around lately." I pouted as I dug my chopsticks into my beef stir fry.
"Don't be silly, you're my girlfriend. It's my job." Shoto comforted me with a smile before he shoved another mouthful of soba noodles into his mouth.
"You guys are so cute." Uraraka said with a tray of food in her small hands. Behind her was Miroria and Iida. They each sat their own trays of food down next to Shoto and I.
"Hey Amara, did your Uncle give you any extra hints of tips for the exam?" She asked me.
"That's right, he must have because he's your Uncle?" Midoria exclaimed nervously.
"Are you crazy? He doesn't tell me anything, you guys probably know more than I would about the exam.""Really? I thought since he is your teacher and Uncle that he'd be more helpful towards you..." Uraraka trailed off."Nah, if anything he expects more out of me because he thinks I can do better than most people. It's annoying how strict he can be." I explained.
"He almost sounds like your father." Uraraka said. I raised a dark eyebrow at the girl.
"My actual dad died when I was born, and I've been living with my Uncle ever since. So I guess he has become like a parent to me." I said.
"Oh my gosh, I am sorry Amara!" Uraraka shrieked. "I didn't know."
I scoffed at the nervous girl before me."Don't worry about it, it's not common knowledge." I voiced.
"Y'know, you look awfully alot like Mr Aizawa, are you sure he isn't your secret dad or something?" Shu asked me.
"HA! Yeah right. And I have a secret brother whose actually an alien from outer space." I said with sarcasm laced in my voice.
