Part 1

A little backstory first. Andy wasn't always Andy Herrera she was born Ashleigh Villa-Herrera but went by Villa. Her mother was a TV reporter/tv star so it meant she traveled a lot. Though she was born in Seattle, Washington she spent most of her life between LA California, NYC, Miami Florida, Salt Lake City Utah, Chicago Illinois, Wisconsin, Missouri and New Orleans Louisiana. To be honest she traveled a lot, her dad in Seattle, her mother's family in LA, her father's family in Chicago. She didn't become a firefighter at first instead opting to purse a career in NYC PD, quickly becoming a well respected detective. There she fell in love with a girl called Rosalie 'Rosie' Skylar-Deacon, there relationship moved faster than Andy had liked.

After a pretty big serial killer case Andy reached breaking point and just wanted to get away from it all. Get away from the stress that is NYC. She quit leaving a letter on her desk for Rosie and moved back to Seattle where she took her dad's last name officially and just changed her name from Ashleigh to Andrea there she joined the fire academy meeting Maya on day one. The rest of her life you know up and till now but there is one difference she hasn't married Robert yet and they were just getting over Rigo

After 2 years of being heartbroken Rosie was talking to Daisy (Andy's mum) when they found something odd. Please note they had heard nothing from Ashleigh until now. They were talking over the newspaper when they found a National article, Legacy Fire Fighter Wins Medal for bravery, the face seemed familiar but the name and the uniform wasn't. "I think it's Ashleigh that's Pruitt alright," "Yeah your right?" "No what the bureau is investigating a case and I have been offered the lead. Being the lead I get to go to Seattle. I am going to take it and hope I find her," "Are you sure she want's to be found?" "No but I at least need some closure." Rosie stared out of the window to the damp streets of NYC as this sunk in.

Rosie read the article over and over again to find out that she was at fire house 19 in the city centre. At the same time in Seattle. Andy wasn't settling in her sleep, Robert could feel her stress but not as well as Rosie could. "Rosie?" "Andy it's me Robert," "Sorry it was just another dream," "Who's Rosie?" "An old high school friend, I was dreaming about our disastrous graduation," "Will you tell me?" "I'm sorry but I'm not ready, you go back to sleep you still have an hour I can't sleep now." For the first time in for what felt like years she was thinking about Rosie the love that she left behind.

Part 2

Later that day Andy was talking to Miller, Vic, Jack and Maya when the buzzer from Travis rang. "Hello I'm looking for an old friend of mine Ash...I mean Andrea Herrera?" "Yeah she's in the barn just through there," "Thanks," Rosie quietly opened the door to see the same Andy she knew though there were minor changes, her hair was lighter than it had been and it was pulled back. She was talking to three others in uniform one with long bleach blonde hair, the other long thick black hair, short haired darker guy and the dirty blonde one with the strange sense of humour. "Villa?" Her voice broke gaining the other's attention, "Villa?" The dirty blonde guy asked, "I haven't been called that in a while...Rosie it's been to long," "I know Ash, can I still call you Ash or is it Villa, Herrera, Andy? Andrea? No Ashleigh, I don't even know anymore," "You can still call me Ash. What are you doing here?" "A case, I see you switched your gun for a hose?" "Oh not you to, listen can we meet at my place?" She wrote the address down and gave it to her, "I'll be back by three, bye Rosie."

The two ex lovers waved goodbye as the others met up in the beanery, "So that's Rosie?" "Yep," "Villa?" "Yep I guess I have a lot of explaining to do but I don't want to talk about it." Robert pulled her aside whispering, "Can I look at your file?" "Go ahead what have I got to loose." She left on a call giving him time to be nosy, Andrea Herrera birth name Ashleigh Callie Daisy Villa-Herrera born 3rd of September Seattle Washington though she was registered in New Orleans, Louisiana. He read through the list of schools she attended from here on the west coast to the east coast. She studied social services, medicine, math, history, sports, dance and music, she ran a professional music channel for just over 2 decades. NYC PD Detective, those words stood out. She was a detective.
