19: Our Own World

"I have sights on it." Todoroki said while looking through the scope.

"What's your position?" Todorokis walkie talkie spoke from beside his ear, the volume kept to the minimum. Todoroki looked around himself for a quick second before returning to his scope.

"Maybe 5 miles west away from the mall. It doesn't look like it's doing anything right now." Todoroki answered in a hushed tone as he watched the creature move its legs around and shifting.

"How far away are you from it?" The walkie talkie spoke again, Minas voice calling through it again. Todoroki took his eyes away from the scope to determine how far away he was as he laid down on the roof beside Katsuki who kept an eye on it the whole time.

"I would say about 70-75 yards behind it. Though we are positioned half a mile away from the forest" Todoroki answered again before going back to his previous position. "Wait... It's doing something..." Todoroki said as he watched from afar as it tapped it's leg onto the ground, forming some sort of clicking. It was silent before a loud clapping noise was heard and bolting towards a bush

"The fuck was that?" Katsuki questioned as he watched the creature devour, what seemed to be, a rabbit when it turned back around and then walked the direction of the road towards the forest.

"It's leaving now" Todoroki said in his walkie talkie as the creature scurried away out of sight.

"It's getting dark anyway. I think we have enough information on it anyway" Kirishima called from the device, Katsuki saying something along the lines of 'thank fuck' while Todoroki simply rolled his eyes at the statement, even though it was true.

The two of them, along with others, have spotted a total of three of these same creatures roaming around the area. However, they stayed outside practically all day and the sun was starting to set. Everyone was exhausted and hungry and couldn't wait to get back to the house.

"I'm heading to the truck with Mina, Jiro and Kirishima" Denki called and both males nodded their heads before they climbed down the latter that was on the side of the library building, hopping onto the grass that was below when there aren't any more things to climb down.

After a good 15 minutes of walking the opposite direction of where the creature went, Todoroki and Katsuki saw the truck that they drove in approaching them with Mina waving at them. Once it pulled over, the squeaking coming from the car indicated that they were stopping, before Todoroki and Katsuki climbed in the back, Kirishima starting to drive the direction where their home was.

"Did you guys get any reception with the other group?" Mina asked Katsuki and Todoroki, The blonde frowning.

"No we haven't, why?" Todoroki questions as he looks at Mina while he shifts in his seat to get more comfortable. The girl hummed before looking at the buildings that passed by until they were driving beside the forest again.

"No one could get a hold of them so I was wondering if you guys did." Mina said, Katsukis stomach twisting as his brain immediately thought of Izuku being in danger, and Todoroki caught Katsukis worried expression, even if very little emotion was shown.

"I'm sure it's because they are on the other side of this forest. It is quite a long drive so I wouldn't be surprised if the walkie talkies were out of reach of us" Todoroki said, silently reassuring Katsuki without speaking to him directly.

The Rest of the drive was silent, the sky getting darker and darker as time passed until Kirishima pulled into the small dirt trail that led inside the forest. Everyone in the back of the truck held onto the sides from all the bumps and lumps in the dirt before the road was smooth again when they drove down the covered asphalt until they reached the house again. They parked beside the porch before the engine turned off and everyone hopped off and made their way inside.
