It's been about a week ever since they left and the group had to forcibly keep moving from house to house as they kept getting invaded when they stayed for too long due to the amount of body heat they emit and the creatures can sense it, as well as their mixed scent or body odors. It was more annoying than anything because they always had to go through the same procedure of checking the perimeter around the home, inside, cleaning it from any cobwebs and shoo away any bugs. Thankfully they haven't encountered anything dead and rotten but that was most likely because they were eaten from... babies. Not human of course but baby groupers and slicks, to which they keep encountering the deeper they go into the city.
"Why can't we just keep one and raise it ourselves?" Denki whined as he watched yet another baby grouper the size of a hand be decapitated by the one and only, Katsuki Bakugou. The blond in question looked at Denki before going back and stabbing the creature and throwing it out the window with his gifted dagger and pocketing it after he wiped the blood off.
"Do you want it to eat you after it grows twice the size of you? Maybe he'll make it quicker because 'you took care of it' so you don't have to suffer '' Katsuki said sarcastically at the other, to which he pouted a little.
"Don't have to be so merciless about it.." Denkis words trailed off a little, his softer side taking in consideration that Katsuki basically murdered a helpless... thing without a second thought. But he sighed as his more rational thoughts came back, knowing that the other was right and that it would most definitely kill them when they slept.
"Not like they have been to us recently" Katsuki seethed under his breath before he heard the familiar engine of the jeep pull up in the driveway. Denki and Katsuki made their way to the front door, weapons at hand and squinted at the afternoon sunlight that shone directly into their eyes but quickly made their way to the car to help out.
"We didn't get much, but I was lucky to find a whole case of water, some granola bars, and some spam." Izuku said as he got out of the passenger seat with a case full of water bottles, careful with his handling since the plastic was thin and the water might spill. Katsuki only nodded before looking behind them when Kirishima's group didn't come back but didn't question it and just wanted to go inside the house for now. Safer in there then laying out in the sun.
Now Kirishima, Uraraka, Iida, Asui, Momo, and Jiro were missing, the rest waiting for them inside the house anxiously, but never uttered a word about it. Everyone ate their late lunch, early dinner, before chugging down some water since they had run out last night. Hours passed and they could hear the screeching of car tires making everyone inside the house drop whatever they were doing and immediately bolted out the door when they could also hear shooting. Everyone held their heads high, bodies low and aimed their weapons down the road where they could still hear the shouting and gunshots before all of their walkie talkies blasted at the same time, chanting the same words.
"Leave now! Got to the center of Tokyo immediately! Initiate the plan!" Iidas voice practically yelled, making everyone go wide eyed at the last statement and shuffling around to start getting in the car.
Well of course, there are rules to follow during an apocalypse...
"Shit! Go go go go!" Katsuki rushed as he pushed everyone in the jeep before shutting the doors and backing away from the car, looking directly at Izuku in the eyes as he stared at him with wide, green eyes. Katsuki gave him a weak smile before turning around and going back around the house, jumping over the broken fencing and disappearing out of sight. Izuku bit his lip hard as he started the engine of the car and drove out of the driveway, pulling the mask over his nose and mouth and pressing harder against the gas pedal.
