21: Persistent Memories

There are many things that I wish to do in my twisted lifetime.

"We should be entering Tokyo in about ten minutes" Iida said as he looked down at the map after they had passed a sign with what exit they had just passed. Todoroki nodded but didn't take his eyes off the road since he was driving. Behind them, Izuku, Katsuki, Sero and Uraraka were sitting down, Uraraka needing to sit on the black haired males lap from the lack of space in the small jeep.

Izuku looked over beside him and smiled at the sight of his friend. He didn't want to call her his ex because that just seems like they aren't close anymore. He was happy with Katsuki and Uraraka was slowly building a bond with Sero. Both of them were currently sleeping, Sero having his arms around the girl so she 'wouldn't fall' and his head resting on her shoulder while the brunette had her head resting on top of his.

That deep connection that I have only felt once, 
was one of them..

Izuku then felt a hand around his shoulders pulling him and he gave out a little laugh as he leaned into Katsuki and hugged him from the side. The blonde breathed in a large breath before exhaling, his heart pounding against his chest as he watched the tall buildings of Tokyo near them. They were tall and looked as if they were swaying in the wind but that was simply his imagination. He could also hear the loud cries of groupers and slicks as well since it was very dark out.

"Alright, everyone keep an eye out in case we get jumped" Iida said as he closed his map and grabbed hold of his rifle and stood up so his head would pop out of the missing roof of the jeep. Izuku and Katsuki did the same thing, causing the other two to get up as well from all noise from the coming of the guns and reloading.

"Were here?" Uraraka mumbled as she yawned from sleeping basically the whole drive, Sero being awake but kept his head on the girl's shoulder.

"Yes, but we have to keep a lookout for any groupers or slicks," Izuku answered as he kept watch from behind, keeping in mind that Kirishima was following them, while Katsuki watched from the right. The girl nodded, grabbing her own two handguns before she took the left as Sero looked ahead since there was no more room to stand.

but world has always found a way to disappoint ones dreams,
no matter how small...

"On our left!" Todoroki shouted as he caught some movement from beside them and Uraraka was attentive and waited till the beast would get closer.

"It's a slick" She said when she noticed the way the skin glistened in the moonlight and approached them with it's long tongue dripping in green toxic, slime. She aimed before giving it three shots in the head, gut, and leg so it would bleed out and Groupers could eat it later once they found it.

"Were definitely going to have some visitors if we don't find a place soon" Katsuki says as the gunshots echoed through the night.

A few minutes pass and they were starting to enter the abandoned city, driving much slower now since they were in a nearby neighborhood to look for a good spot to camp for the night and hopefully the next day as well. Most of the homes looked completely destroyed and it was most likely from groupers in search for food, or slicks camping in them to cover from the sun and rain. Some of the homes were covered in white frothy substance at it was revolting, knowing that there were eggs in that white, bubbly stuff that belonged to Slicks after mating. Luckily they were still above the homes and going down the highway and going further and further into Tokyo.

"Iida how much further away till the Setagaya museum?" Todoroki asked as he looked around for some signs to follow but they were either rusted or broken. The blue haired male looked around in his surroundings before spotting A river running below them and recognized it to be the Seine River.
