"Katsuki, just drop it already" Mahoros voice echoed as she changed her clothes on the other side of the curtain.

"But it makes sense doesn't it? We already have to go farther away to look for food and other shit like that but everytime we go, the market looks different! I know there's someone out there" Katsuki argued back, averting his eyes so Mahoro could have some privacy and watching as Katsuma prepared dinner.

"You can't just assume that someone's out there because 'it looks different'. But, let's say there are people out there. What are you going to do?" Mahoro asked as she exited the room and went over to where Katsuma was to help out.

"She's right you know. They could be gangs or food ravagers and if you did say that you heard a gunshot, then maybe they're coming for the bunker" Katsuma said as he eyed Katsuki a little, the red eyed blond huffing in annoyance.

"Yea like they want to be stuck underground- you know, I dont get why were still down here. Were all around the age of 18 and i'm tired of doing the same fucking thing over and over again. Ken is gone, the other two idiots left because, quote on quote, 'this is worse than my time in prison' and my mom is sick. I don't want to sit here until we're all gone for good!" Katsuki shouted making Mahoro slam her hands on the counter as she looked at him angrily.

"I don't either! I want to do something with my life other than sit and stay, but we have to! We are the ones that have to take care of them now because if we leave, then they all die. And there's no way that we'll survive for more than a week out there!" she yelled accusingly, using her hands and arms to explain herself better.

"I'd take that! I'd take living a week out there then the rest of my life down here. It's hell down here! Do you know what it feels like watching my mom slowly die? Ken getting devoured? Even Burning Is getting tired along with your dad! And I just can't sit here and watch more people die, god damnit!" Katsuki shouted, thoughts of him clouding his mind again, frustrating him all the more as he held his head from the pounding.

Katsuki left the kitchen and went into his room that he shares with Katsuma and simply laid down on the mattress to try and calm his headache down but he couldn't. Izuku still roamed his mind and it was driving him crazy. He wanted to get out of here and put his thoughts to rest by proving to himself that Izuku was or wasn't gone. But he waited, he wanted to wait for his mother and at the same time, he didn't want to be there for her to breath her last breath and for her heart to stop pumping. He couldn't go another day waiting for his mother to go so he decided that he would leave tonight. It was a win win for everyone; the bunker had one less person to worry about and Katsuki could go out and live.

After everyone had eaten and gotten ready for bed, Katsuki waited for everyone to be asleep to get up and start packing a bag filled with clothes, a roll of bandages, water, knives, bullets, his pistol, and an MP5 strapped on his back. He exited the room and quietly approached the exit door but before he could spin the wheel, another voice came from behind him.

"Leaving without saying goodbye?"

Katsuki's grip on the wheel loosened at his mother's voice. She sounded so tired but not the kind you get from lack of sleep. He turned around and returned her small smile before he placed his things down to look at her.

"I can't stay anymore" Katsuki said barely above a whisper while looking at his mother with a painful expression on his face. His mother gave him another smile before she approached him to give him a hug.

"I know, and don't ever think that you abandoned us ok?" Mitsuki said as she continued to give him a hug, happy that Katsuki was returning it with just as much love from the way he squeezed her. Katsuki nodded his head as he placed his cheek on top of his mother's head, closing his eyes as he relished her warmth as he held her.
