Episode 17: Blue Wendigo tears

Kristina had been trouble sleeping lately, everytime she closed her eyes. She saw flashes of another ranger, wearing a crimson suit and he was fighting for Chrysalis. She saw other things as well like, her team fighting against a number of civilian disguised changelings. Chrysalis fighting against Artemis, and a new golden zord.
"Why do I keep having these dreams?" She asked herself as she tried to wake herself up.

"Sissy come on wake up!" Kyra called out from behind the door.
"I'm coming, " Kristina responded forcing herself to get out of bed. She busily got dressed and her zord handed her brush. "Thanks Liberty, " she said taking her brush and gently patting Liberty on the head. The eagle squawked and hid inside Kristina's jacket so she couldn't be seen. The blue ranger finished getting ready and met her sisters in the kitchen. Kyra was sitting at the table and Shela was cooking bacon and eggs.
"Wow you're never the last one up, did you stay up late writing again?" Shela asked. Kristina shook her head but then rolled her eyes like she was annoyed.
"No because that's your thing, I just couldn't sleep, " Kristina answered.

"Have you been drinking the bedtime tea I bought for you?" Shela asked. Kristina said nothing for a few minutes, because the tea didn't stop her nightmares. But she was unsure what they meant so she kept them to herself. They couldn't be visions, because she wasn't a sear, a witch or a psychic. Plus the team had far bigger things to worry about than a few nightmares. Chrysalis was getting more aggressive each day which meant she up to something to big. So they needed to keep their guard up.
"No because it tastes nasty, " Kristina responded.

"But its supposed to be that way, at least that's what mom said, " Kyra pointed out.
"Well she's right, now hurry up and eat you two, " Shela said placing down plates in front of them. "We have to meet up with the others for training, " she continued.
"I'm going to beat both of you, " Kyra said as soon as she took a bite of her breakfast.
"Oh its so on, " Kristina responded. Even if she was tired, she wouldn't back down from a challenge.

Chrysalis watched the scene in her castle through her magic mirror. She smiled sinsterly as she saw that her spell was working. The changeling queen was the one behind Kristina's dreams, the rangers always spoiled her plans after finding them out. She would distract the blue ranger with possible futures, so Kristina couldn't figure out what she was planning.
"My queen, " Sombra said walking into her chambers and bowing to show his respect.
"Ah Sombra, I take it the creature is ready?" She asked once she noticed him.
"Yes I know actually the kind of monster I should create, " he answered. She smirked at his words but warned him that another failure would not be tolerated.
"Then create him for me, so that he may destroy the rangers, " she said after he explained what the monster could do.

Sombra obeyed her without question and created a monster, that resembled a slender human but was far from one. This was a Wendigo, an intelligent monstrous being that was immune to all weapons and feed on human flesh. Once Chrysalis saw the Wendigo she was overjoyed, an emotion she rarely expressed.
"He's fantastic, " she praised.
"I hope you would be pleased milady, " Sombra responded. But she pushed him away and talked with the Wendigo, something that greatly displayed Sombra.
"I am here to serve you my queen, as long as I get my share of food, " The Wendigo explained to her.
"You shall have it, in fact I am giving you the best feast you could ever ask for, " Chrysalis answered with a wicked grin. "The power rangers, " she declared.

At the sametime the rangers met up in the words for training. Emma and Merry were sparring, Shela shot at the trees with her crossbow for target practice, Julian was engrossed in a book full of battle tactics, and Kyra was dueling against Kristina and Johnny.
"I think I'll take it easy on you this time, " Johnny said to the two girls
"Don't let the long hair fool you, your going down, " Kyra responded. "Right sis?" She asked.
"What?" Kristina asked being pulled from her thoughts.
"You are dueling against me," Johnny answered.
"Right sorry, just a bit sleepy, i'm going to kick both of your butts, " she responded.
