Episode 13: Chaos and disharmony part two

Despite not having their powers, the rangers we're determined to keep fighting as nothing could stop them as long as they stuck together.
"Guys don't worry we have each other, " Merry said confidently.
"She's right we might not have our crystals but there's nothing we can't do if we all stick together. " Kristina said, however as they prepared to step into the labyrinth as a team, hedges grew from the ground separating them. Some of them screamed as they realized they couldn't see their teammates, and others started panicking.

"Everyone stay calm, " Johnny said taking charge as his always did.
"Once you find your crystal head to the center, " Emma chimed in not letting fear cloud her thinking.
"She's right we need to regroup at the center, " Julian responded,  they had been in tougher situations then this and he wasn't about to let a little maze stop him.
"Meet you guys there, " Shela declared as she was eager to give this Eris a piece of her mind.
"Eris we try and separate us, don't let anything she does foul you. " Kristina reminded her teammates and then the rangers ran off separately in search of their crystals.

Johnny stumbled across his crystal first at least that's what he thought when he saw it on the ground. However when he tried to grap it, it rolled away from him.
"What in the world? " He asked as he chased after it until he stumbled across what looked like a forest made completely out of crystals.
"Where am I? " He asked as a bunch of crystals fell from the trees and began forming in different piles based on their colors. He heard bizarre laughter as the crystal piles rose up and formed a face with eyes and mouth.

"We're the keepers of grove of  truth, " the first pile said and Johnny tried to back away from it however his feet refused to obey him.

"You may ask us one question, " the second pile said laughing and circling around Johnny like a hunter circling its prey.
"Past, present or future, but be warned.. " The third pile said and then allowed the first pile to speak again.
"The truth may not always be pleasant, " Johnny had no clue what these things we're but he couldn't seem to leave so he decided to share his thoughts on this situation.
"I have a really bad feeling about this Eris, she seems worse then Chrysalis, what's going to come out of all this? " He asked and the three piles danced around him in almost pure joy and urged him to look inside the crystal water to see his answer.
So he did, however what he saw almost broke him as he saw all of his friends with angry glares on the faces.

"I hope I never see you again! " Kristina yelled.
"Me too! " Emma screamed.
"Fine! " Shela called out.
"Fine! " Julian also yelled.
"I'm sick of you all! " Kyra proclaimed
"Its settled then, " Merry declared and then all of the rangers ran their separate ways not bothering to look back.
"No our friendship can't be.. over, " Johnny said his voice quivering with hurt, he had already lost Yan to Chrysalis he couldn't lose any of his other friends. As he wallowed in his sorrow, Eris was flying up above using her magic to control the piles like puppets. She gave out a quick evil laugh as she saw her spell was working.

"That's just can't be the truth.. It's just can't, " Johnny said in denial as he felt the wave of loneliness wash over him. However the piles got up in his face again.
"Yes however if the truth... "
"Makes your heart ache, sometimes a lie is easier to take. " The pile's voice changed into Eris's voice and her eyes glowed a bright green with spirals and Johnny couldn't look away, he was under her spell.
He entire color changed into a light shade of grey and as the hedges behind him opened he could hear Merry's voice.

"Johnny thank goodness I found you, but I thought I heard two voices back here, who we're you talking too? " Merry asked grateful too see her friend however when Johnny looked back at her something was definitely wrong as he immediately said he wasn't talking to anyone and then his eyes looked left and right.
"What? " Merry asked completely confused by his action.
"Nothing come on now, we best be going. " Johnny said walking away from his friend  and continuing to lie back and forth.
