Episode 8: Power of pink part two

"I must have hit my head pretty hard because I'm seeing an eighth ranger. " Julian said as he tried to recover from Ultraviolet's previous attack, however he wasn't having much luck and the other rangers were having the same problem.

"We all must have hit our heads because I see a pink ranger too, " Yan commented.
"You guys aren't seeing things, there is in fact a pink ranger infront of you. Just hang tight guys, I'll handle this ferret. " The Pink ranger said swirling the scythe.
"Hah I've already beaten seven rangers so another one will be a snap. " Ultraviolet taunted and then turned invisible, however it wasn't effective as the Pink ranger could still see her and every time Ultraviolet tried to sneak up on the new ranger. She was hit by the pink ranger's scythe.

"That's impossible how could you be able to see me? " She panted holding her chest in pain.
"Clearly you're not familiar with the fact that some animals can see Ultraviolet radiation. " The pink ranger declared now talking with a different voice as before, the ranger spoke with a college girl's voice but now the voice sounded like a teenage boy.

"Butterflies being one of them, now enough talk you overgrown rodent. Its time we finish this, " the rangers watched in awe as the pink ranger's scythe glowed and then changed into a set of dual blade swords.
"Taste the power of my blades, double pink ranger slash! " The ranger called out and then sparks flew from Ultraviolet as she fell to the ground and the pink ranger turned around as the monster exploded.

"Yes, " the ranger whispered in a quiet tone, the other rangers however had questions and ran up to the newcomer.
"Who are you? " Emma asked however the pink ranger said nothing.
"Why didn't Artemis tell us about you? " Merry asked but still the ranger said nothing.
"Maybe she doesn't work for Artemis, maybe she's a spy for Chrysalis. " Yan pointed out and that's when the pink ranger finally turned around and looked at them.

"I am no spy for that witch, she is a hateful creature who deserves nothing but death. " The ranger declared, who was now speaking once again with a different voice. This time it was an older woman.
"We just want to know who you are. " Kristina pointed out stepping in between Yan and the pink ranger sensing the tension in both of them.

"I can't tell you who I am, because then you wouldn't accept my help. My only wish is to assist you in your fight against Chrysalis and her army. " The pink ranger declared and for a moment no one said anything.
"Well you seem like a viable ally but we need to be sure we can trust you. " Johnny said and the pink ranger nodded understanding their hesitation, and then left.
"Come on you guys, we need some answers," Shela said after a long moment of you uncomfortable silence.

"She's right we have to get back to Artemis's temple, " Kristina said and then the rangers pressed their crystals so they could teleport away.

"Impossible I got rid of that pink crystal how could it have bonded to someone! " Chrysalis angrily asked as she watched the fight from her magic mirror,
"Maybe someone stole it from the trash. " The prince pointed out without thinking to much about what he said or how it would only anger his mother more.
"Sire I believe it would wise for you to keep your mouth shut, as your mother is clearly upset enough already. " Sombra cautioned annoyed with the young prince's behavior and worried that the queen was going to snap at any moment.

"Don't tell me what to do, it's my job to tell you what to do! " Raymond whined and then Chrysalis screamed, green flames shooting up into the sky as she did so causing them both to shut up. The windows around them broke and then so did the magic mirror, the prince and Sombra ducked for cover as shards of glass flew everywhere.
"I made those powers and that ranger should serve me! Not Artemis, I will find out who that ranger is if its the last thing I do and I will make them serve me! " She declared green fire gleaming in her eyes, after that the windows and mirror began repairing themselves until it looked like they had never been damaged.

"Sombra, I am going out for awhile watch my son until I get back, " Chrysalis said still heaving with anger.
"Yes my queen, " Sombra timidly said as he was still shaken after what he just witnessed.

Meanwhile back with the rangers, they asked Artemis question after question about the pink ranger however she had almost no answers for them.
"Milady why did you never tell us, there was an eighth crystal? " Merry asked,
"Do you have any idea who the pink ranger is? " Emma questioned before Artemis could answer,
"When did you have time to pick someone? " Kristina asked
"is this new ranger on our side? " Julian questioned.

"Rangers please only one at a time, " Artemis said not being able to handle all the questions at once.
"I didn't tell you because I never made an eighth crystal, however I sense that Chrysalis had one of her minions try and create their own crystal so they could make their own power ranger. " Artemis explained,

"So then we can't trust this new ranger, they must be working for Chrysalis. " Yan pointed out and Artemis gazed at him like she was examing him.
"No I sense no malicious intentions from this person, whoever they're they only have pure intentions. As the crystals only choose someone who is worthy of their power, even if they're created for evil they will not bond to someone who is unworthy. " Artemis explained.

"So then the pink ranger is on our side," Shela confirmed.
"Whoever they're we need to convince them to join us, Chrysalis is obviously getting stronger so we need to gain strength to. " Johnny said and everyone agreed expect for Yan, he was still skeptical of all this, what if that attack from before had been an diversion so they wouldn't suspect anything. However he keep his suspicions to himself.

"We should spilt up and see if we can find out who the pink ranger is. " Merry commented,
"Actually only six of you will be looking for our new ranger, Kristina I have a solo mission for you. After Shela's interaction with another ranger, I suspect that another team of rangers is out there. So I'm sending you to California to investigate, the rest of you will go and seek out the pink ranger. " Artemis explained and the rangers all nodded.

"I won't let you down, " Kristina declared
"I know you won't, " Artemis said giving her a warm smile. Then in a flash of blue light Kristina was teleported away,
"Come on you guys, we've got a pink ranger to find. " Johnny said and the other rangers followed him save for Yan.
"Is something wrong Yan? " Artemis asked making the green ranger jump,
"no everything is just fine. " He responsed in a tone that sounded forced and then left to follow his friends.
