The temple was empty, it was always empty.

As the lone green ranger walked slowly through the halls, he listened to the echoing of his footsteps against the floor of the hallway.

The temple was so big, every room without in it was caveronus equal to the power of the ones that dwelled in it. It scared him, but it was the only place he could really call home. He felt that he had always been here, always been alone.

He tried to look out one of the windows so he could see outside but she could see nothing. As black crystals darker then the night sky itself covered them all preventing any view to be seen. It was the same everywhere he looked, every exit or entrance was covered with the same black crystals trapping him inside. He couldn't break them and he couldn't morph either, he was stuck here.

This place is more then a prison then anything else, the lone ranger thought to himself and he let out a nasty sounding cough. Was he expected to just be left to die here? Where were his friends?

He shivered and coughed haggardly. His dark skin covered with tiny pieces of ice as the entire room was freezing. Not the kind that annoyed you but the kind that felt like daggers across your skin that had been dipped in fire. He throw his arms around himself to try and warm himself but it did nothing, it was too cold. So very cold.

He shock his head causing pieces of ice to fall out of his hair. He couldn't go anywhere as his body was too frozen to fight and it seemed like the coldness in the room had sucked all the magic from his crystal. As he couldn't morph.

He let out a heavy sigh and endlessly searched the halls for any sign of life or hope that he could escape.

He stopped.... He hadn't seen this room before it was a ballroom.
Why would Artemis need a ballroom in her temple? He thought to himself as he gazed around in wonder.

Ice coated the place making it appear all blue and gray. It was the same colors of how he was feeling on the inside. The air felt crisp and clear no sounds to be heard.

Across the vast room a set of emerald green stairs stood leading up to a balcony on which sat a an ice and crystal encrusted throne.

It called to him, he ran across the dance floor trying his best not to fall. Every echo beating down on him harshly like it was mocking him. He tried to block it out and focus on the throne but the echo's made his isolation feel more real.

He slowly climbed the stairs and sat on the throne. A painful chill ran up his spine causing him to cry out, as he felt that he would soon either freeze to death or die from dehydration if no one found him. He gritted his teeth and clutched his fist, trying to hold back his tears. But eventually he couldn't and let them fall, letting out a small cry as he did.

Then suddenly he heard a noise and he looked up to see that the once empty room was now full of life. Hundreds of people crowed the dance floor laughing and talking.

The green ranger sat on the throne a look of great surprise edged on his face. Slowly a smile crept onto his lips. His heart filled with pure elation and for the first time in a long time he felt joy.

The people began to dance all waltzing in perfect synchronization. Music played in the background by an unseen orchestra and the men took the beautiful women they were dancing with and embraced them. The bright colors and designs of the ladies dresses seemed to bring light to the icy room.

The green ranger watched in amazement happiness filling up his entire being. Then the music faded and the dancing stopped, the ladies all lined up on side and the gentlemen lined up on the other side.

The huge double doors at the other end of the hallway opening and seven figures stepped in. He recognized them all immediately as it was his friends, all dressed in outfits based on their animal and ranger color. The green ranger's heart lept and he ran off the throne trying to reach them.

A eighth figure entered the room and the green ranger recognized her as well, she was dressed in a fancy gown that looked like it had been designed by moon beams and stars. A silver regal crown sat on top of her hear giving her long raven hair some color. Her presence seemed to melt away all the ice and crystals from the room and many people cheered for her.

The green ranger raced towards her as knew exactly who she was and desperately tried to call out her name but he couldn't speak. No sound came out of his tattered throat, he tried to call out to his friends but no to avail they walked right through him like he wasn't even there.

He fell to his knees as he stood in the Goddess's shadow. Pleading, crying, trying to get her to notice him and he then realized that no one in the room had not once looked at him. The image before him began to fade away taking the people away with it.

He let out a silent cry as ice began climbing the walls again and he reached out trying to grab onto his friends. The only people he knew, that gave him comfort. But he touched nothing but thin air and the entire image before him faded away leaving him alone again.

He let out a long heart wrenching wail and dropped to the floor. He could hear his cries and the echoed around the room coming right back at him making him cry harder.
His heart seemed to shatter into countless pieces across the frozen floor like bits of broken glass.

Tears stung from his eyes as he crumbled to the floor again, the ice appeared on his body again only this time in larger chucks threatening to engulf him. But that didn't matter to him anymore, he had been cast aside and left to die in this prison, forsaken by those he thought cared about him. He was alone, and he would always be alone.

"Yan! " Someone called out and that one word snapped him Yan out of whatever trance he was in. He shook his head and held it attempting to stop the throbbing inside it.

"Are you alright I couldn't seem to break Sombra's hold on you, " a voice asked and Yan saw that it was Artemis but after what he had just seen he couldn't bring himself to look at her. Why did she care? It was her fault any of this was even happening, if she hadn't lost her temper then Chrysalis never wouldn't have turned evil. She wasn't a hero, she was a hypocrite and how dare she poison the minds of his friends and make them turn on him.

His insides burned up with rage as he looked upon his mentor, every instinct telling him to strike her down for leaving him in such state.
"I need some air, " he responded and then left to go do what he needed to do. After a long walk he came across Chrysalis's castle and he made no move to fight back when two changeling guards wearing blue armor dragged him inside and threw him infront of Chrysalis's throne.

"Hello green ranger last time we met you tried to kill me, " Chrysalis said to him and her voice was nothing short of sinster. Was this ranger stupid? He could never take her on himself.
"I didn't come here to break stride Chrysalis, I have come here with a purpose,  I bring the news you have looked for. " Yan explained giving the changeling queen a look only Sombra had given her. It was one of pure loyalty.

"The rangers have been defeated? " Chrysalis asked as she was almost uneasy with how he was willingly giving her information.
"The key to it, " he answered and Chrysalis felt his aura with her magic and it was full of vengeance.
"I was wrong to have ever questioned your wisdom my queen and I wish to make amends. " He explained and a wicked grin spread upon Chrysalis's face she liked where this was going.

"There is someone who has always eluded you and stood in your way. " Yan spoke,
"Artemis, " Chrysalis answered her voice dripping with anger at the mere mention of the Moon Goddess.
"Yes and I have her location, she hides in her old temple. " Yan explained a look of pure hate on his face but it wasn't for the queen it was for his former friends.
