"Take a look. It's pretty impressive, huh?"

They–"

A ringing noise erupts from Peter and he jumps back into his seat. The web-slinger takes one glance at the enormous building after apologizing.

Happy chuckles and tells him to, "Go ahead."

Peter pulls out the phone, scrunching his eyebrows in confusion.

"I– I don't know–"

May was calling him.

Why now?

"Oh, come on. You're with the Head of Security, pick it up."

Peter clicked the answer button.

"Hello?"

"Hi, Peter. I'm not supposed to be telling you this but she wanted you to know first–"

He didn't recognize the voice.

"I'm sorry, who is this?"

"A friend of your Aunt's."

His heart skipped a beat.

"What's this about? Is– Is something wrong?" Peter internally cursed the crack in his voice and his stutter, it made him sound scared. And the way the woman on the other side of the line responded left Peter at a loss for words.

"I'm afraid to say, but something is very wrong, Peter."

The brunet glanced up just in time to catch a quick look at a loud aircraft leaving the Avengers Compound.

Happy had also slowed his driving pace.

"It happened so suddenly."

The man turned to face him after parking. Snatching the cell out of his phone, he politely demanded the lady to hurry with whatever she needed to say because apparently Peter had some important business to do currently.

"Your Aunt's gone. I'm sorry, sweetie. Child services–"

Peter leaned forward towards Happy just to tap the screen and hang up on her.

He made eye contact with Happy and that's when he felt the tears begin to pool in his eyes. Perfect timing, wow, he thought to himself, burying his head in his hands.

The older man stayed quiet, and when his crying had finally calmed down Peter practically kicked the door open.

"You kidnapped me, what'd you want to do, Happy?"

Peter tried for a weak smile but failed miserably.

Happy stepped out of the vehicle.

"Tony wanted to talk to you."

Peter's eyebrows shot up and his eyes widened like a deer in the headlights. To add on to the effect, his hand was also frozen midair because he was lifting it to wipe the tears off his face.

"Right. That's it."

"That's all there is to it, kid. Now let's go."

Peter had proven it difficult to guide a crying teen through a Stark owned building. He wanted to look up and around to see the marvelous building but all he could do was stare at the ground, watching his tears hit the ground.

Oh, how he wanted to rip his hair out, scream, and demand to see his aunt at this instance.

Exactly like a child.
