The taller male proudly smiled at the two shorter adeptus' infront of him.

"Please continue to protect Liyue with as much strength as you showed me during this war"

"How will we do that?"

The girl with long, baby blue hair asked

"You can choose your own method on how to protect the city, Ganyu. Whether you help the humans and move on to the ground or stay with the adepti, it's your choice"

A long silence stood in between the three adepti before the male spoke

"Thank you Rex Lapis, but I choose to stay with the adepti. I do not wish to merge with the mortals"

The distain weaved into his tone made the Geo archon chuckle softly. His orange eyes shifted their attention over to the girl expectantly but she just sighed

"My apologies Rex Lapis... I cannot make my decision yet..."

"Console with the other adepti and see their decisions. I know that you will find your answer soon"

He placed his hand on her shoulder and gave her a reassuring smile. He departed and left the two adepti on their own. The Qilin glanced at the other and opened her mouth to speak

"Xiao... I-"

She was interrupted by him

"You should really make your decision Ganyu, but if I were you... I'd stay with the adepti"

He dashed away into the depths of Jueyun Karst, leaving the girl with her own thoughts

"I was going to say that I wanted to see Cloud Retainer for her opinion..."

She shook she head and dismissed the thoughts of the young guardian adeptus. Walking towards the domain that belonged the Cloud Retainer, she bumped into the Geo Archon once more

"Ah Ganyu, wanting to ask Cloud Retainer for her side?"

"Yes... I am half Qilin and half Human, so I am unsure of where to go"

The older just hummed and stared at the doors of a domain

"Go ask her, she'll lead you down the right path"

He prodded her to enter and vanished before she could thank him. Her hand delicately pushed open the door and was welcomed into the domain. She opened her eyes to see the beautiful bird adeptus that took care of her as a child

"Cloud Retainer..."

"Hello Ganyu, it something the matter?"

She nodded and sat down

"I'm struggling to find where to go..."

"Hm, as I guessed. Your human and adeptus sides are very conflicting. While Adepti enjoy being solitary, humans yearn for company. I suggest you follow the path of your human side, go to the harbour and find some work there. You will enjoy it"

Taking in the bird's advice, she slowly got up and gave a grateful smile

"Thank you Cloud Retainer, I will make my departure now"

"Good luck Ganyu, and please make sure to protect the city and it's people"

The girl left the domain and looked up at the clouds one last time

"Here I feel the loneliness of a solitary cloud gazer... yet I'm sure the harbour will feel even lonelier... the loneliness of an inhuman in the human realm..."

Jumping of the mountain she had been standing on, she started her journey down to Liyue Harbour. Gazing up into the starry sky's, she feels the soft breeze blowing through her hair...

"I hope you break free from those karmic chains of yours... I hope you'll be as free as the wind..."

She closed her eyes and breathed in the scent of nature that surrounded her

"Xiao... we'll meet again... perhaps we'll meet in the harbour, a city that with be full of life... 2000 years from now..."

I know not many people ship them because canonically they see each other as siblings but I think this ship is cute🥺🥺🥺
