Heart full of Flowers~ A Xiaoyu AU

The more I think of you,

Xiao sighed and dried his face with a towel. He sat on the edge of the bed and started daydreaming

Xiao stared blankly at the floor and just let his thoughts swirl around. Usually his mind would be full of hurtful thougthts but somehow, Xiao could only think of Ganyu.

The blue haired adeptus just couldn't get off of his mind not matter how hard he tried. His cheeks just got redder and redder the more he daydreams.

"Ugh whats wrong with me..."

He softly mutters to himself before leaving his room and walking towards the boss of the Inn

"Oh good afternoon Xiao! How was your chat with Aether?"

The woman respectfully bowed a little and Xiao nodded in return

"Good afternoon Verr Goldet. If you saw Aether drag me downstairs and I'm pretty sure I didn't look too happy"

Xiao's at down on a stool that was randomly in front of the counter.

"What brings you down here? You're usually just in your room during the day"

"Mm, didn't feel like being in my room that's all"

"Sure sure... like I would believe that"

She let out a smile giggle which made Xiao glare at her

"Then what else do you suppose is my reasoning?"

"Hm... I don't know..."

Her voice trailed off as she quickly smiled

"Perhaps a certain blue-haired adeptus would catch your fancy?"

Xiao didn't want to think of Ganyu again. Not because he hated her or anything, it's just that he didn't want to be distracted from his duties. Xiao jumped up and walked away from Verr Goldet

"I'm going to patrol around... if there's any monsters reported then call for me"

Xiao then ran back to his room and picked up his polearm that was awkwardly resting on the wall. He jumped out the window and glided down to a place where there was no human activity.

The adeptus stepped softly on the grass and closed his eyes. His ears perked up and listened to the wind. The sounds of hilichurls and fatui were coming from different directions so Xiao had to make a choice now.

"Ugh both such a pain. The hilichurls seem to be a lot livelier today so how about I go crush whatever plans they have..."

He dashed off towards the large camp up ahead and indeed there was a large group of hilichurls accompanied by three mitachurls. In the distance there were two abyss mages with a weird blue thing. It seemed to be controlling the abyss mages but all that didn't really matter to Xiao

The yaksha slashed out his polearm and put on his mask. Taking a deep breath, then dashing straight into the middle. One powerful plunging attack executed most of the little guys and left the mitachurls dazed. A few more powerful attacks and the whole camp dissolved into ash.

All the noise seemed to have caught the abyss mages attention and the tall blue thing vanished through a portal looking thingy. It left the two abyss mages with Xiao which was quickly ended by more of his usual attacks.

The little fluff balls collapsed and evaporated, leaving Xiao to demolish the rest of the camp. Once he finished, he ran to go check out what the fatui he had heard earlier were up to

"Lady Signora, we've been spotted by a few Millelith."

The harbinger just scoffed and flicked her hair

"It's just a few Millelith. Besides, Childe should be able to handle it on his own"

Xiao hid behind a tree trunk and eavesdropped on their conversation. A new fatui recruit jumped down from somewhere and landed right in front of Signora, bowing down in a kneeling position

"Lady Signora, I've just had reports on the adeptus we've been tracking."

Adeptus? Could it be me?

Xiao got lost in his train of thought but was brought back when the recruit continued to speak

"She was not in her office for most of the night and only came back in the morning. She was spotted with a younger male strolling by the harbour"

So they've been tailing Ganyu... I wonder why...

"Hmph, that blue haired loner won't be much of a threat. She's always in her office doing paperwork anyways."

Signora turned away from the recruits and quickly gave them orders before walking away. Once the recruit who reported Ganyu's activities had started to make a move, Xiao stealthily followed behind.

Once they both got to a hidden area, Xiao sprung out and attacked him

"What the fu-"

"Shut up"

Xiao took his spear and pointed it at the recruits neck, all while cornering him.

"Wha- wait you're the boy!"

Xiao growled and put more pressure on the spear making it cut into his neck

"Why are you following her"

"Why should I tell you-"

Xiao's gaze darkened as he applied more force into the spear

"Okay okay!! I'll tell you"

The recruit looked extremely scared, possibly because he was only assigned to keep close watch on Ganyu. He had nothing like a weapon with him so Xiao was pretty confident that he would be safe in this secluded area

"Lady Signora has been working on a mission to eliminate two adepti. One being the blue haired half adeptus and the other I have no information on. As more why she's been given this mission, I'm not sure. It's best if you ask someone else..."

Xiao glared up into the recruit's eyes and he didn't seem to be lying. So Xiao thought to ask another question while also pushing down on his spear

"How long have you been tracking her"

"A-about a week...?"

Xiao finished off the slash to his neck and turned away as the recruits body fell limp and disappeared.

"I shouldn't really be caring this much about her but if they're planning on killing her... I can't have that"

His grip on the polearm tightened as he could feel the wind around him swirling about. He closed his eyes listening to the wind once more as he heard the sounds of multiple fatui coming his way

"God damnnit... I took too long killing this guy..."

Xiao muttered under his breath as five fatui fighters surrounded him. A laugh was heard behind him and a tall, slim figure appeared out from the shadows.

"My my... how lucky for us to have our target walk straight into our trap~"

Looking around, the adeptus found himself stuck in a bad situation. He had no where to escape and he wouldn't be able to take much more of the pain his mask put on him.

"Looks like I'll just have to fight..."

A cyro gunner, a hydro gunner, two pyro gunners, an electro hammer guys and a harbinger had their eyes set on Xiao's every movement. There was absolutely no way they would let their prey slip out of their hands

Hehe yes I decided to take a break from the fluff and move into this shit :p

I'm gonna be taking my first jab of the vaccine today so my arm is going be in pain
