"Miss Ganyu there's someone who wants to see you"

"Mm... please let them in"

She tucked a stray piece of her behind her ear and kept her face buried in the papers. The door shut and she put the papers down to meet Xiao's amber eyes

"Oh Xiao! Didn't expect to see you in the harbour at this time, it's still the afternoon!!"

"Yeah I just wanted to see you again"

He voice was a little hoarse and the way he smiled didn't look right to Ganyu. She got up and walked around her table, once standing in front of Xiao, she moved her hand up to cup his cheek.

"You look so tired..."

Ganyu was too busy looking at Xiao's face to realise how close their faces had drawn. When she realised, she quickly jolted backwards and blushed really hard. Xiao was also blushing but it wasn't really obvious.

"Sorry for getting so close... but come sit down, take a rest while I finish off my work"

She went back to her desk and picked up her pen, scribbling down some stuff before moving onto the next document. The cycle went on and on for another hour and Xiao's eyelids were starting to feel heavy.

"Alright I think I'll stop here"

Her voice woke him back up and he immediately sat up. Ganyu helped Xiao up while checking to see if he was still tired

"Ganyu I'm fine you really don't need to be checking me over"

"If you say so..."

She didn't look convinced but took Xiao's word anyways. Hand-in-hand, they walked out of Yuehai Pavilion and walked further into Yujing Terrace.

"So, why'd you come looking for me?"

"Just wanted to see you again"

The way he said his answer with no hesitation pulled at Ganyu's heart. She could feel her cheeks heating up so she quickly looked away so that Xiao would notice

"Ganyu, are you okay?"

"Y-yeah I'm perfectly fine!!"

"No one uses 'perfectly' unless they aren't okay"

Xiao stopped and turned to face her, his eyes looking straight into hers.

"Mm, fine. You look to be alright"

He turned away and led her to the small balcony. Her long baby blue hair waved around in the soft breeze and Xiao couldn't help but admire her for a while. Ganyu caught Xiao staring and smiled

"Caught you red handed~"

He snapped out of his daze and his ears went red with embarrassment. She giggled a bit and looked over the view of Liyue Harbour.

"Liyue Harbour is such a beautiful city..."

She mumbled to herself so Xiao couldn't really hear. He was going to ask her to repeat herself but decided against it.

As they both stared out into the distance, the gap in between them slowly but surely closed. When they looked at each other, their faces were basically touching. Ganyu quickly jumped back in surprise and Xiao just stood still.

"Sorry! I-I didn't realise we had drawn so close..."

Xiao shook his head and smiled at her

"It's alright"

Ganyu let out a sigh of relief and leaned onto the railing. Xiao stood slightly behind her just looking at her delicate features.
