Xiao sighed and walked out of their shared bedroom to see Ganyu worked away at a stack of documents at usual

Two years had passed since they started dating and the Liyue Qixing had gifted them a small apartment as thanks for the two adepti about a year ago.

He walked behind her and his arms wrapped around her, leaning down to kiss her cheek. She switched her attention to her boyfriend and gave him a gentle smile

"Sorry Xixi... did you need something?"

"Mm, can you spend to day with me? We haven't had a day to ourselves in ages..."

She giggled and nodded, standing up and letting Xiao hold her waist as her hands rested on his chest

"I can step away from work today, but I'll have to go back to my office tomorrow."

"I have to continue my duties as well"

She sighed and reached to gently touch his cheek

"Your 'duties' always leave you coming back home exhausted and wounded. You need to take care of yourself more..."

He shook his head and leaned in to make their foreheads touch

"I know but I can't help it, I'll try harder to keep myself out of danger"

She connected their lips into a soft kiss and when she broke the kiss, Xiao gave her a smile

"What do you want to do?"

"Mm... let's take a walk around. Oh actually! Let's go visit Zhongli!! Haven't seen him in a while..."

Xiao chuckled and pulled Ganyu closer

"Maybe you would see him if you weren't cooped up in your office all the time"

She playfully pushed him away and pouted while crossing her arms over her chest

"I like my work okay?? I've told you a hundred million times already!!"

"Yes yes I know... but you gotta take some breaks as well"

"Yeah well my break is today!!"

She quickly retorted back and stormed into the bedroom. Xiao chuckled lightly because of her behaviour. Though it might seem like she was mad or upset at him... truthfully, she was just really embarrassed.

She came out of the room having changed into a beautiful, flowy pastel blue dress. The long sleeves had lace detailing at the ends and the skirt ruffles waved behind her as she walked.

"Beautiful as always Ganyu..."

Xiao softly muttered under his breath as he went to get changed as well. He just wore a simple shirt and pants with a jacket thrown on top just because why not.

Ganyu took the brush from the table and tried to pull all the knots out. Xiao stopped behind her and took the brush from her hand, helping her tie it into a loose braid.

"When did you learn how to braid hair?"

"Ah... I uhm... Aether taught me..."

He quickly tied off the braid with a small hair tie and swiftly turned her around to peck her nose

"Alright, ready to go?"

"Uh no... Not yet, let me get the hair clip real quick"

She ran back into the room and came out while clipping the preserved Qingxin hair clip just behind her right horn
