"Alright take care Xiao!"

Dr Baizhu waved goodbye as Ganyu and Xiao left the pharmacy hand-in-hand. By now, it was well known that the secretary of the Liyue Qixing was now in a relationship with the Vigilant Yaksha. Of course some people disliked it but most citizens either didn't care or were happy for them. Either way, no one bothered to get in their way so it was quite relaxing.

As they walked through the streets of Liyue Harbour, many people stopped to say hi and just send their best wishes for the new couple. Though they were both quite awkward about it, they were still happy that people supported them.

When they reached Ganyu's office, Xiao sat down on the couch while Ganyu got seated at her desk.

"You gonna keep working?"

Xiao asked softly and she slowly looked up from her documents and paperwork

"Mm yeah... there's still a few things I need to take care of before I leave. It might take a while so you can go back to Wangshu Inn. I'll come over and we can spend the night together?"

"Sure"

Xiao got up and walked over to Ganyu, he had wanted to give her a kiss before he left but now that the moment was here, he wasn't so sure anymore.

So instead, he just leaned down to kiss her cheek before waving goodbye

"See you tonight then, good luck with work"

"Thank you!!"

He left the office and started his walk to Wangshu Inn. Once he arrived, Verr Goldet immediately pulled him aside to talk

"Hey Xiao! Heard you started your own love life"

He sighed and nodded

"Yes, I've started dating Ganyu. She asked me yesterday morning while I was resting"

A small flashback played through his mind when the boss' question aroused a few memories from the previous morning

• Flashback •

"Hi Xiao, good morning!"

Her eyes closed into a smile as she shut the door behind her. She settled down next to Xiao and quickly checked over him.

"You seem to be a lot better, how are you feeling?"

"Mm, I'm doing fine."

Her hand lightly glazed over his and she silently stared at Xiao's face.

"That's good... I wish I could hug you right now..."

"Then what's stopping you?"

She her eyes widened a little before as her face blossomed with bright pink and reddish hues.

"Uhm... you're stopping me...?"

Xiao sighed and pulled Ganyu off the chair by her hands. She lost her balance from the sudden actions and ended up falling right next to Xiao, her head resting on his shoulder and her hands falling onto his chest. His arm wrapped around her slim waist and he tucked a piece of hair behind her ear.

"I'm not stopping anything"

Her cheeks were still heated up as Xiao gently brushed her long, baby blue hair.

"Hey, can I ask you something?"

"Of course, what do you need?"

Ganyu sat up and waved her hands in front of her face in denial

"I don't need anything, I just want to ask"

"Mm, ask then"

She let out a little sigh looked at Xiao dead in the eyes

"Do you really love me?"

A long silence drained into the room and Ganyu's serious gaze was met with a confused look from Xiao. He could only blink at her to comprehend what she just asked

"What kind of question is that-"

"Just answer, do you love me??"

Xiao nodded and gently cupped her cheeks

"I love you Ganyu, I love you so much"

He tried his best to be as expressive as he could and Ganyu gave him a genuine smile

"Then would you present me the honour of being your girlfriend?"

Xiao nodded and hesitantly leaned in closer to Ganyu.

"May I...?"

His amber orbs flicked around, trying to find any signs of discomfort. But all he could find was a beautiful, relaxed half adeptus just waiting patiently for a kiss. He closed the gap in between their lips and connected a soft kiss.

• Flashback end •

Xiao blinked out of his thoughts and looked up to see Verr Goldet with a proud smile on her face

"I'm proud of you Xiao! You finally found someone to be happy with."

"Mm, thanks"

He nodded and gave the woman a slight smile before disappearing into the corridor that connected to his room. He opened the door and collapsed onto the bed, not realising that it was already dark.

He took a quick shower and when he stepped out of the bathroom, he heard a knock at the door.

"Hold on!!"

Xiao yelled out and quickly tried to dry his hair as much as possible with his towel. After a few moments, he just gave up and went to open the door.

"Oh? Sorry did I rush you?"

Ganyu's gaze flicked around Xiao's appearance, from his messy, damp hair to the casual-ish clothes he was wearing.

"No it's fine, come on in"

He let the towel rest around his neck and stepped aside to let Ganyu in. She sat down on the edge of the bed and looked around

"Did you just finish taking a shower?"

"Mhm"

Xiao settled down next to her before trying his best to finish drying his hair. Seeing him struggle made Ganyu sniffle a laugh as she reached up to hold his hands. Xiao froze when he felt Ganyu's hands on his own and payed close attention to what she was trying to do

She took the towel from him and gently ruffled his hair. Xiao let his hands rest on his lap as Ganyu shifted behind him to assist him with drying his hair. Her hands worked gently as they delicately brushed against his hair.

Once she was done, she put down the towel next to him and her arms wrapped around his neck. Xiao felt her breath run along his neck and it sent a shiver down his spine

"Your hair is so soft and pretty..."

Xiao turned to come face-to-face with her gentle, loving smile. She twirled a little piece of his hair in her fingers and transitioned to cup his cheek

"Just everything about you is so beautiful and mesmerising..."

Her rain of soft compliments made Xiao extremely embarrassed and his cheeks warmed up as Ganyu slowly leaned in. Their noses lightly touched as they gazed into each other's eyes

"Xiao... I love you..."

"I love you too Ganyu..."

And with that, they connected a soft, sweet kiss full of pure love
