Heart full of Flowers~ A Xiaoyu AU

Though not all tales end happily,

"Qiqi, where's Dr. Baizhu?"

"Dr. Baizhu...? He's... helping uhm... someone..."

Ganyu smiled and gently pat the little girl's head

"It's alright, you can leave now"

The little girl bounded away and closed the door, leaving Ganyu alone with Xiao who still hadn't woken up yet. It's been about a week since he's been out and after the whole situation, she was starting to loose a bit of hope.

The secretary usually sat beside his bed with a small stack of paperwork beside her. As she worked through the stack, she would occasionally glance over to see if anything changed with Xiao. Though she was never surprised when nothing was different.

After it turned dark, it was time for Ganyu to return to the office and work a little more before resting for the night.

She gently reached out and touched Xiao's cheek with the back of her hand, grazing his cheek lightly with the tips of her fingers. She sighed and was just about to leave when she heard Xiao grunt

She quickly turned around with all her senses alert. When his amber eyes flickered open, she rushed to his side and quickly grabbed his hand which surprised him

"Xiao you're awake!!"

He blinked and few times and furrowed his brows as he shielded his eyes from the lights.

"Ganyu...?"

He adjusted his eyes to the lights and pushed himself up. Sitting up, he looked at Ganyu but quickly looked away because he suddenly remembered what had occurred before.

"I guess... you know everything now...?"

She slowly nodded and he sighed

"I guess it's come to this, Zhongli did something and I still have my feelings... but the pain is all gone"

"That's good isn't it?"

Xiao hummed and let his head rest on his hands

"Mm... depends how you see it. But I guess it's time"

He suddenly paused which confused Ganyu. Right as she was about to say something, Xiao opened his mouth to just blurt out whatever he had bottled up

"Ganyu, I love you"

Once he said it, she had to take a while to comprehend what she just heard. As Xiao avoided her gaze, she could only blink at him. She was shocked as her heart wanted to return the feelings while her mind told her to just leave the room.

"Well... I love you too Xiao..."

He whipped his head back around and stared at Ganyu. The Qilin was blushing madly as she fiddled with her fingers. She looked back up and unintentionally, the first thing she saw was his lips.

Obviously it didn't go unnoticed and Xiao gently held her hand. She was quite visibly very nervous about the whole situation and not like Xiao knew anything about this kind of stuff.

So he did what he thought would be best for that moment. As she moved closer to him, his arm carefully wrapped around her waist and she was pulled down to sat beside him. He took her wrist and pressed his lips to her back of her hand.

At this point they were both blushing really badly and Xiao's heart was racing with embarrassment while Ganyu was just internally panicking.

She stood up and took a deep breath as she pushed Xiao to lay back down. His head fell onto the cushion but he still had all his attention on her.
