Fighting, fighting and more fighting

It's the only thing Xiao had been doing for the past week. Every single fatui in Liyue was sure to experience his wrath. No matter what they were doing, whether they were stalking Ganyu or carrying out orders from another harbinger or simply just eating some berries, none escaped.

His usual duties now consisted of spending the day hunting down fatui, making sure to slay them all before they could even make a move. Some had tried to take Xiao's life, meaning that Signora was probably still trying to kill him. No matter, Xiao just defeats all the fatui he comes across.

The abyss order didn't escape his attacks either. He continues to clear out camps and mercilessly killing every threat he came across.

At present, the adeptus was catching his breath after a harsh fight with an enemy he had never encountered before. A creature that was called an abyss herald. It was something Aether had spoke of but Xiao never actually thought of it until now.

It's been exactly a week since he last saw Ganyu and he's never really had the chance to think about her. It's not that Xiao didn't like to think of her but he did enjoy the time that his mind wasn't clouded with her.

Whenever a thought of the blue haired half-adeptus came into his mind, he simply dismissed it and carried on with his duties. But now more then ever, Xiao couldn't stop worrying about her.

As someone who despised being around humans, he had always made a conscious effort to avoid the harbour. Though there wasn't really any specific reason to why he needed to worry about the city, the fact that the abyss herald had mentioned the harbour during their fight made Xiao think that the abyss order were going to take action against the humans.

He used his spear to help him back up onto his feet. Sweat dripped down the side of his face and black particles surrounded him. Xiao took off his mask and relieved himself of the karmic debt he had lived with for so long. Teleporting back to the Inn, he swiftly avoided all attention and walked onto the balcony he spent so much time on

The moon shone brightly in the starry night sky, his amber orbs glowing as he admired the view.

"The night sky tonight is much too pretty for a monster like me..."

His hoarse voice muttered under his breath as he blinked a few times before turning away. Walking back to his room, he quickly washed his face and gently chucked his weapon to the side.

Laying down on the soft mattress, he let the plush pillowed cushion his head. The ceiling lights flickered slightly and Xiao closed his eyes. Breathing in and out as he tries to relax but he can't help but wonder...

Was his half-adeptus friend safe now?

He let out a sigh as his thoughts rapidly swirled around in his mind. He pushed himself to sit up, only to start coughing lightly. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary so he just washed his hands and picked up his spear again.

Not realising the drop of blood that has been rinsed down the drain...
