He entered the Inn and waved 'hello' to the boss which surprised her. Before she could speak though, he had already disappeared into his room.

He washed himself up and took a quick shower before walking out onto the balcony which not many people came out to. In fact, not many people knew about it. It was almost always empty except for maybe one or two people to occasionally occupy the little outdoor area.

He leaned on the railing and looked out into the distance. The seemingly endless hills and bright sun shining in the sky made the scenery look strange from what he saw at the harbour with Ganyu. He let his head droop downwards towards the floor and let out a sigh

"Eh? I didn't expect you to be here Xiao"

The adeptus turned around and met eyes with the famous traveler who went by the name, Aether. His emergency foo- Ahem, his little companion fairy flew beside him with a cookie in her hands.

"Traveler, what are you doing here?"

The blonde male sighed and grabbed Xiao's wrist, dragging him down to the table next to Smiley Yanxiao's kitchen.

"Come on, we're gonna have some 'us' time"

"What now-"

Paimon flew off to who knows where while Aether ran into the kitchen. He made a plate of Almond tofu just the way Xiao likes it. After he finished cooking, he placed the plate of food in front of Xiao before sitting down and smiled

"We're just gonna have a nice little chat together!"

His energy slightly weirded Xiao out but he just poked it the tofu with his spoon. He took a bite out of the food before looking back at Aether.

"You know just staring at me won't make me talk right?"

"Mm... yeah I know! I just wanted to talk to you..."

Xiao sighed and sat back on his chair

"Fine fine, what do you want to know"

"Sooo do you like anyone?"

Xiao immediately shot a glare at Aether. If looks could kill, Aether knew he would be dead 10 times over. Xiao shook his head and Aether looked disappointed

"Come on Xiaooo!! You need to loosen up and be happy!"

Xiao groaned in annoyance and let his head rest onto his hand. Aether then took a spoonful of almond tofu and tried to feed it to Xiao

"Aether what the fuck are you trying to do"

"I'm trying to feed you, duh"

Xiao pushed the spoon away and closed his eyes. He thought back to the previous night but he tried to push it out of his head. Yet no matter how much he tried, he couldn't stop thinking of the long baby blue hair of the girl he admired so much.

"Ooo~ Is the great guardian adeptus Xiao blushing?~~"

He amber eyes shot open and looked across the table to see Aether with a big dumb smirk. Xiao felt blood rush up to the tips of his ears and his cheeks also had blush dusted on

"What are you saying..."

"Who's the lucky person?~"

His teasing tone made Xiao want to punch that stupid smirk off Aether face but instead he sighed and decided to tell Aether about everything

"Fine, I'll tell you..."

Aether then sat up straight and his smirk turned into a gentle smile

"It's not exactly love because I'm not capable of loving but I really admire Ganyu-"

"Wait wait wait"

Aether interrupted him mid-sentence

"Like Ganyu, the same Ganyu who is the secretary of the Liyue Qixing???"

Xiao slowly nodded and Aether took a deep breath. The blonde leaned back on his chair and stared at Xiao in shock

"Keep going"

"Hm, well me and Ganyu knew each other 2000 years ago. We actually lived together under the care of a few gods. I went to go visit her last night and saw how much she worked. I couldn't help but admire her..."

Xiao's voice trailed off as he got lost in his own thoughts. He felt Aether gently place his hand over his own and Xiao looked back to see the blonde haired boy smiling at him

"Xiao, would you say that you love her?"

"What?? No! Of course not!! She sees me as her little brother and that would just be strange..."

Aether chuckled and put a spoonful of tofu into Xiao's mouth to shut him up

"You started day dreaming as soon as you mentioned her name. You're blushing quite a lot and you smiled as you talked about her. It's quite obvious"

Before Xiao could protest, Aether stood up and crossed his arms

"Perhaps it'll be obvious the next time to meet up with her. But if you ask me, I'm pretty sure you have feelings for her"

Xiao jumped up and pushed his hand onto the table creating a loud bang.

"I am unable to fall in love! I can't let anything distract me from my duties!!"

"Sure Xiao suree, I'm planning to find a way to get into Inazuma so I'll be off now"

Aether walked up the stairs and disappeared leaving Xiao with an unfinished plate of almond tofu. He sat back down and finished eating it before rushing back into his room.

He washed his face and looked at his cheeks which still had a little bit of blush.

"Do you really love her...? Maybe I'll go back to the harbour and see her later this week..."
