Heart Attack

The next day Bucky and Mya decided to go for a run through the city. Running as the sun rose was very tranquil and relaxing for her. Something that always brought her mind to ease. She would sneak glances over at Bucky as she watched the muscles in his arm tremble from the jump in his step. He caught her staring and he blushed.

"Why are you blushing you dork?"

"Because even after all this time, you still make me nervous."

"I make you nervous?" She began to slow down as they decided to walk through Central Park.

"OF course you do, you always seem to surprise me and keep me on my toes."

"Yeah who would of thunk it. The 100 year old man all out of tricks."

"OH you think you're funny?" Bucky said as he grabbed Mya by her wet shirt and pulled her close. Kissing her softly on the lips as he looked down into her green eyes.

"I think I'm hilarious." She returned the kiss as she smacked him on the butt and ran away.

"You're going to get it now!" He started to chase after her as she jumped and dodge other people until they got back onto the main street. There was too many people to keep running through, so she let Bucky catch her. He wrapped his arms around her as he swung her in a circle in a small victory.

"Okay calm down Bucky. I LET YOU CATCH ME."

"I don't think so!" He stuck his tongue out at her as they walked back to her apartment. Once they made it back , they saw the door was open. Bucky placed a hand on Myas chest, and placed his index finger over his lips to tell her to be quiet. Bucky walked in first and was ready to attack whoever was there. But it was Steve.

"Steve?"

"Hey Bucky. Hey Mya, I wish I was here under better circumstances."

"What happened?" Bucky asked Steve with a stern look on his face.

"Nat found out last night that Nick was attacked in his home. They stole his laptop and a bunch of documents he had under lock and key. Our suspicions tell us it was Loki."

Mya felt the blood drain out of her face as she looked at Bucky.

"Where is he now?" Mya asked as she stepped up so she was facing Steve.

"He's at the compound, Bruce is keeping an eye on him because he has a severe concussion."

"I need to see him," Steve nodded his head as he led Mya and Bucky out to his car.

They made the trip in good time as Mya ran out of the car and up two flights of steps to Bruce's Lab. There she saw Nick lying on the bed. Bruised and bleeding, it looked like he had been hit by a car. Mya felt her eyes get glossy as she walked in and stood over Nick.

"Girl, what are you doing here?"Nick said in a low, raspy voice.

"I had to come see you. This is all my fault," Mya's voice was so thick with emotion, she began to cry.

"Stop it, this isn't your fault. I had a back up plan if this was ever going to happen. Loki will not find her, he's just angry and hurt right now. Which makes him dangerous, and if we have to, we will take him out."

"You're out of your mind Nick, you can't kill a God." Bruce said as he stepped into the room.

"Look Nick, I know you care about me and the safety of my little girl. But Bruce is right, if you kill Loki you will be asking for a war from asgard and especially Thor."

"We have to stop Loki before he hurts more people seeking for answers." Nick's eyes began to flutter as his head fell back. The machines started beeping as Bruce pushed Mya out of the way.

"What's happening?!" Mya cried out as Bucky ran up, holding her back from running to Nick.

"I think he's going into cardiac arrest, get her out of here James," Bruce said hastily as he began to start compressions on Nick. Bucky pulled Mya out by force as Bruce and a assistant began to work on Nick.

"I need to find Loki," Mya said in almost a whisper, but Bucky still managed to hear her.

"You can't go alone."

"I am never alone. But it will have to look that way or else he won't talk to me. But I have a plan."
