Agent 3's (Sarah's) P.O.V:

"Well?! Did you guys hear or not?! Let's move!"

I yelled at them, not only because of the sudden panic, but from the built up anger from what I witnessed earlier.

"Wait, Sarah please let me explain." Mike grabbed my arm, a worried look on his face. There wasn't anytime to chit chat so I shoved his arm away again. "Not now Mike. Did you not hear what she just said or do you have gunk in your ears?!" He stared back at me with a concerned look, and shook his head no.

I ran in between them, moving them aside swiftly, and moved towards the edge of the roof floor. Without thinking straight, I turned into my squid form, prepared every muscle in my body, and super jumped through the sky. It ended up taking a lot of my strength, and I had ignored my burns in the process, making the jump rather painful. I could hear Mike and Callie call out for me to wait, before super jumping themselves.

Even though my eyes were shut as I flew, I could feel tears flow out of my eyes and slowly disappear in the sky.

"Maybe this is all a dream...Maybe I'll wake up now.."

This entire war on its own is a living nightmare. Sure, I've fought groups of Octarians on my own or alongside Mike in the Squidbeak Splatoon, but nothing was to this big of a scale.

I didn't know exactly where I was super jumping, especially since I had done this without thinking it thoroughly. I regretted it now, but I had no time to reconsider or plan things out. It took me about thirty seconds of gliding through the sky to finally reach my destination, the final battleground. I landed on a street with a bunch of inkling soldiers sprinting and swimming into battle. Not long after my landing, both Mike and Callie landed behind me.

"S-Sarah! Hold on!" I could hear Callie's voice calling out to me. It was frustrating to hear her voice right now, especially after what I saw her doing with my boyfriend. My lungs were attempting to recover after the super jump I just did. I stumbled for a sec, but quickly regained my balance after.

Forgetting the fact that we were in the middle of the battlefield, I quickly hurried to somewhere safe, both Mike and Callie following close by. We huddled up near the side of a building to take cover from whatever gunfire was going on. There in the street were a couple inklings shooting and ducking behind some of the collapsed infrastructure providing cover. I wasn't sure how many soldiers had come out to battle nor how many Octarians there truly was, but if Marie had said that there was a huge push here, I can't imagine how large this fight is.

"We should find Agent 2 first and see what our orders are!" Callie yelled over the sounds of destruction going on in the background. Mike glanced over to me worryingly as if waiting for me to say something. I clearly knew that what Callie was saying was the right thing to do, though I wouldn't want to admit it, especially after what she did.

"I'll cross the street and check that side. You two check different directions and see if you can find her or any of the other agents." I responded, glancing at both of them before beginning to turn around.

"But what if our intercoms fail..?" Callie questioned, taking a step forward.

Agent 8's (Mike's) P.O.V:

Sarah's back was facing towards us now as she stood still after Callie's questions. She was visibly upset, I can't blame her, given the situation we're in right now. I want to at least fix things between us before it could get any worse. This turf battle here is huge, and if the respawn points aren't turned on, we're all at risk of losing our lives.

Griping the handle of my roller a bit tighter, I stepped forward in between them, "I'm sure it'll be fine. When Marie had gotten through to us, the message was able to get across with little to no interruption (surprisingly)."

"Whatever, I'll start heading over there," Sarah began to sprint forward, not giving either of us time to protest. Callie glanced back at me with a worried look and held her roller a bit tighter to herself. "I-I am sorry for what happened, now I started problems between you two.." Her ears dropped a little bit. I gave a light sigh, and shook my head. "Don't worry about it, I'll explain things to her and it'll be fine, but we have to focus right now."

Callie nodded in agreement to what I said and gestured towards Sarah with her head, "You should catch up to Sarah before you lose sight of her. Please stay safe Mike."

"You too."

Without wasting a second, I turned back and sprinting in the same general direction that Sarah had traveled and attempted to catch up to her. We both ducked behind the inklings who were shooting past the debris barricade and continued forward. After crossing the street and successfully avoiding any enemy fire, we entered another building, which seemed to be the lobby of an apartment complex,

"What are you doing here? I thought I said to head separate ways?" Sarah asked kind of bluntly. It bothered me a bit but I couldn't focus on it too much. "I'm coming with you, I'm not leaving your side here." She shook her head and continued to move forward in order to make progress. I followed her to the best of my ability. "Hey! I'm sorry for what happened, I just-!"

"Can't it wait till after? Our home is at stake here!" Sarah yelled back over the ink flying through the air and splat bombs going off. Though she was technically right, her tone was starting to remind me of the old Sarah, the serious one at least.

Our boots kicked around the tiny pieces of debris as we moved through the painted Inkopolis streets, Sarah opening fire at whatever Octarians were close enough for her Splattershot Pro. She managed to get a few as I attempted to help by creating an ink trail for the both of us to use to move forward quicker. However she refused and continued by foot.

"Agent 8? Do you copy?!"
