"Do you have any other questions?"

Do I?

Do I!?

Of course, I fucking do. I have all the questions. I want to ask her for every detail about herself. I just don't want to overload her with my random questions.

Am I really your mate?

Do fairies have to wash their wings?

When you fly, can you carry someone with you?

Have you known that I'm your mate all this time?

Does that mean we met when you were born?

Why aren't you saying anything about it?

What's your favorite food? Drink?

Color?

Movie?

Animal?

Flower?

Toni is staring at me with an amused expression and I realize I probably look incredibly stupid right now.

Why do I even feel the need to impress her?

I guess I decided that I don't need to impress her after all, because I stupidly ask, "Um, can I see your wings again?" She giggles adorably and nods, her wings growing immediately. I glance around her and notice that her shirt is cut low in the back for them to sprout easily. I feel compelled to reach forward and touch the exposed skin, to feel that tingling sensation whenever we touch. It takes everything in me to keep my hands to myself. Instead, I walk around the back of the couch, admiring her wings as she begins talking nervously.

"Nymphs' wings are always mostly purple," she explains. She is no exception. Her large wings are dominated by purple with blends of pink near the outer edges. A few prominent spots of pink litter the solid purple base of her wings near her back, you can only really see them if you are looking up close.

I didn't think it was possible for her to get more beautiful.

She sounds even more nervous when she continues, "Sprites' wings are green, ignids - yellow, aquaris - blue."

Her voice is so melodic. I could listen to her talk for hours.

"Say something." It sounds like more of a question, a request. I realize I haven't really said much to her. If she thinks I'm her mate, that's probably pretty rough. She's probably just as nervous to impress me as I am to impress her.

"Sorry, they're just...beautiful," I tell her. "You're beautiful."

She stares at me for a moment, her mouth slightly open, unsure of how to respond. I'm not really sure why I said it. I guess I just didn't want her to feel bad. I feel myself blushing a little as a smile grows on her face.
