Dan's PoV
Ring! I grabbed my phone and answered. "Hello?" I asked the speaker. The voice replied.
"Hey, Dan! It's Jamie!"
"Hey! What's up?" I asked, rather casually.
"Uh, Phil and I were wondering," she began. I groaned. "We were wondering if you were ok if we all met on Saturday."
I wanted to say "No. I'm dropping out." But then, I remembered I couldn't. "Uhhhgg... sure, I guess."
"Perfect," she said. I could hear the smile in her voice, which made me smile. I looked out my window. The clouds passed by in different shapes. It reminded me of Jamie. She could change her emotions and she looked different with each one, but she still looked great. Now, I am not saying I like her, in fact, I don't. I am not interested in anyone in school, but Jamie is a great friend.
"You're house?" she asked, breaking me from my thoughts. I jumped at the sound of her voice.
"What? No! No! Not my house!"
"Why not?"
I thought, trying to come up with a lie. "It's not clean." She groaned. "And my parents have people over on Saturdays."
"Fine. I'll tell Phil my house." I snorted angrily. "Hey. Did something happen between the two of you?"
"No..."
"Dan," she said.
"Fine. I caught him watching me while playing th-" I stopped. I wasn't going to tell her. I wasn't telling anyone. "The... trumpet."
"You sound unsure." She was so onto me.
"Drum."
Silence.
"Clarinet."
Silence.
"Flute."
Silence. Then a reply.
"You play the piano."
"Shit! How did you know?" She's good.
"I was near the band room listening to you play and saw Phil go in." I gasped. "Then I heard a crash and yelling and I ran to English."
"You suck."
"What happened?" she asked.
I explained about the drum and everything.
"Oh..." she replied.

(Something new)
Jamie's PoV
After that phone call with Dan, I called Phil back.
"Heyola!" I called through the speaker.
"Hey!" he replied. "So have you got a destination?"
"Yea, my house." I told him. "Dan knows where it is, but there is a gas station not far. If you want to meet there, I can take you to my place."
"Sounds good."

~Saturday~
I was sat on my bed, doing homework. It was a very intriguing article. Penguins were over populating and floating around the sea.
Ding! I looked up as my door bell went off. Walking downstairs, I continued to think about the penguins. With so many, they had to leave everything they loved with out a choice, floating off north.
When I opened the door, I was surprised to see Phil. "Hey! I thought I was going to meet you at the gas station at 4:00," I said, confusion filling my voice.
"Well, heh, about that." He pointed to another figure. Dan. "I recognized his family's car from school and followed." Dan groaned and put his head in his hands.
"Well, come in you idiots." Phil grinned and stepped in. Dan followed. Phil began to wander, looking for our working space.
"Can I talk to you?" Dan asked.
"Yeah, just a sec." I looked up. "My room is over there!" I called to the wandering Phil, pointing at my multicolored door. He nodded and walked in.
"Jamie, I can't work with him," Dan whispered to me.
I frowned at him. "Yes you can and I'm not listening to your complaining." I grabbed him by the wrist and dragged him up the stairs.
When we entered my room, Phil was staring at my wall of paintings. "Wow!" he exclaimed. He turned to look at me. "These are incredible!"
"Thanks," I replied shyly. No one needs to compliment my art. It's not that great. Besides, I do my art for fun, not for feedback.
"How fast can you paint one of these?" Phil asked.
"Depends. Why?"
"Can you paint one in our alloyed time for the talent show?" I looked at him. Then at Dan. I hate drawing in front of people. Or for people. I'm afraid of hate. I don't mind feedback but I don't want feed back, good or bad, but especially bad because hate breaks my heart.
"Uh..." Phil stared at me and I looked at Dan.
"Yeah," he shouted out randomly. "She can."
He wasn't happy with me for leaving our little conversation. I had to shoot back. "Yes, I can. Only if Dan plays the piano." He shot me a glare and I smirked. Phil tried to act confused.
"What?" he said, sarcastically confused. "Dan plays piano? Nooo..." He stopped and leaned in towards me, pretending to sneakily whisper to me. "How did you know?"
"I found out the same day that you did," I 'sneakily' whispered back. He made and 'o' shape with his mouth and nodded, slowly backing away. We then burst out laughing.
"Alright assholes," Dan interrupted. "Jamie, how many people at the school play piano?"
"None."
"Will I get teased?"
I shook my head and shrugged. "No idea."
"Alright." He looked at the two of us. First at me, then at Phil. He studied us and then finally spoke. "What piece am I playing?"
