Chapter 22
"How'd you find me?" I asked staring back at the blonde who stood in front me. My body still in shock at how fast she found me. Did she follow me? Shaking all my thoughts out of my head I sat still. Brian was watching our entire encounter.
"Would you like a refill miss?"
Being too slow to reply, I watched as she spoke for me. "No she's had enough to drink." Feeling my throat closed up, I was embarrassed that they were seeing me this way, after what had happen. I was a total mess. "Let's go." She continued, with a slightly angry expression as she slammed a $100 bill on the counter and walked me out hastily.
"Don't tell me what to do. Leave me alone. We're nothing." I growled as I ripped my hands away from the blondes strong grip. Stopping right in the middle of the parking lot only a few yards away from my car.
"Woah there, is that a desperate hoe I see trying to leech off my bestie?" Knowing exactly who's voice that was I sighed out of relief. Feeling the invisible chain around my neck loosen, as I saw four familiar looking girls. One being a scary 5'3 blonde stomping her way towards us.
"Stay out of it Perla." Delilah said through gritted teeth as she turned towards the small army of girls who lined up behind Perla. I could see Alice with her worried eyes and Kate with eyes trained on my dearest ex-girlfriend. And lastly, Rosalie. Who stared right at me with wide eyes.
"No, last time I checked Eden needed time away from you. Plus she doesn't do long distance remember?" Perla retorted with so much sass and sarcasm I would normally hype her up or at least laugh, but in this situation my body stood still. Hearing Delilah scoff, I turned towards her once more. Noticing how much she has changed. She now has a septum piercing, her makeup popped more. Not only was she dressed in some Dr.Martins, ripped black skinny jeans and a tight leather crop top with a Burberry blazer that threw off her cheerleader style but her entire energy was different. It was scarier, cockiness oozed off her and it wasn't appealing.
Looking towards the moving figured, I see Rosalie with my spare car keys walking up to me. "You okay?" she asked putting her hand on my forearm looking at me with concerned eyes. Almost as if she was examining if I was hurt. Nodding my head I took a step closer to her and a step farther away from Delilah. "Hadley, let's go." Delilah stated with a stone cold expression, clearly annoyed with how Perla was being towards her.
The chain so happen to got tighter around my neck the moment all 5 pair of eyes were on me. Breathing stopped by whatever was holding me back from functioning until a heard a phone ringing. Sighing out of relief seeing as it was Delilahs phone. "Forget it Hadley. You'll come to your senses soon enough." she smirked at me as she walked away, towards the street. Getting into a black SUV, which I assumed was courtesy of her brother.
"Hey, jeez. You scared me and you reek of bourbon." Feeling my best friends arms around me I limply leaned onto her body as I buried my face in her hair. Finally being able to breathe properly, I inhaled the strawberry scented shampoo I had gotten us. Pulling back I felt someone's cold arm around my waist as I was guided to my car. "Rose, I'm sorry for being such a stupid shitface." I slurred slightly having trouble composing a proper sentence from being in shocked and drunk.
"I'm driving you home to get clothes, then we're heading to my house. Perla's sleeping over so you should too." She stated as she buckled me in. Giving me the chance to smell her lavender and vanilla scented hair. Having her face so close to mine made my stomach do cartwheels and my body heat up. Nodding my head not having it in me to argue then seeing her get in on the other side.
