Chapter 24
(tw; domestic abuse!! sorry this wasn't proof read but here you go!)
Eden: dont come
HoneyDew: why?
Eden: just dont please.
HoneyDew: whats wrong?
I didn't have enough time to reply because Delilah yelled at me for being on my phone. Seeing her more agitated terrified me more. It made me think of what would happen to Rosalie if she did show up. "Who do you keep texting?" Delilah screamed before taking my unlocked phone. My heart sank as she read my conversation with Rosalie, I knew I was in trouble.
"Well, well, well. You called for your little girlfriend? Okay Hadley. I'll you know I keep my word now." She smirked as she pulled over to the side of the dark road. "What are you doing Delilah?" I asked panicked, seeing her get out, she went to the trunk to retrieve something. Looking back at the venomous blonde I saw her come back with her famous softball bat. The metallic silver shimmering as the headlights shined on it.
My body stopped functioning, I knew exactly what she was planning to do. If she comes near us I will hurt her. The words wouldn't stop going through my head. I couldn't do anything. I didn't have my phone because Delilah had it and all I could was wait and watch. Not being sure to what extent Delilah will go to I got out of the car. "Delilah please. I told her not to come. Come on, please." I begged walking up to her, not really caring if she hit me. I wanted to make sure Rose was out of harms way. Delilah looked at me, with emotionless eyes. I knew she was searching for something as she examined my face. "Lila, please. I'll go with you. I promise please just don't do this." Putting my both my hands on either side of her neck, being a little to close for comfort but knowing Delilah loved it when I begged her for something
Not knowing what happened, I held my cheek as I looked up at the sight of my ex girlfriend. She had slapped me. Crushing me a little more than I had expected. "You think I'll believe you? You think I'm that stupid Eden? Do you?!" her voice began to boom again, only this time it was right in my ear as she held me. Her hands gripping the skin around my neck. Slowly losing the ability to breathe she looked at me with a smile on her face. "You think I'll fall for that again? You are wrong Hadley." Grabbing onto her arms I tried to fight off the hand that was gripping my airways but she was stronger than me.
To my saviors from above, I thank you. I felt the hand let go right before the black spots were about to take over. I gasped for air as I fell to the ground holding myself. I didn't dare look up at the blonde who was now pacing on the wet concrete. Bat still in hand.
"Do you really think you being all cozy up on me will change my mind?" She asked as she scoffed looking down at me.
Okay, game time. I can play her game. She thinks she can walk all over me? No. I wont lose this game. Not if Rosalie is coming. I wont be hopeless. "She isn't my girlfriend Delilah. One thing you've always been right about is the fact I wont eve be able to have anyone else aside from you. You broke me, you took everything from me." I croaked out. I was going to stroke her ego until I won. "You took my heart and played it with you bat until it shattered into a million pieces. I loved you with everything I had. And now look where we're at?" Looking up she stared into my eyes. I saw a glint of sadness but it was masked by anger once again. Seeing her walk up to me she helped me up, only to punch me in the gut. Making me groan I held onto her arms to support myself. Another blow but to my back. Making me fall completely to the ground.
