Chapter 10

"Singing my song, the butterflies fly away!" I shrieked as I drove to school. Completely and utterly feeling this lovely cold and foggy morning I sipped on my cream filled coffee driving up to the school parking lot. Not minding the annoying stares from the town people or better yet the Cullens. I parked in my spot, got out and greeted everyone good morning. Even Rosalie.

"Good morning guys." I smiled towards Maggie and Alice looking to the left I saw the honey colored blonde. She looked beautiful in her white jeans, grey v neck shirt and her black coat. With her soft honey dew curls cascading down her shoulders. "Good morning Rosalie." I smiled making direct eye contact which seemingly shocked her.

Moments after greeting the Cullens alongside my new group of friends I walked to my locker to insert my notebook that wasn't needed until later. Closing my locker I heard the bell ring and saw a familiar brunette walking towards me.

"Hey beautiful." Cameron smiled with two cups of coffee in hand. "Good morning Cam, lay off the coffee bro." I joked. "It was for you but you seem to beat me to it." She seemed genuinely bummed. "Well I'm sure someone will appreciate a free coffee." Looking around the hallway only to see the Cullens I made eye contact with Maggie and smiled. "Maggie would you like a free coffee?" I asked, making them all come to halt. Seeing Jaspers curious face Cameron spoke up.

"It was supposed to be for this beauty here but she beat me to it before I could treat her." Cam smiled. Automatically feeling the playfulness of the situation switch to very thin tension Cameron took that as her cue to leave, leaving me alone with the very odd siblings. Seeing Rosalie scoff made me curious. And I am determined to not let anyone, including Rosalie Hale ruin my mood today.

"Is something wrong Rosalie?" I asked looking directly at her. Seeing her a bit agitated made me a bit put off. "Nothings wrong. We're late to class because of her." The blonde directed to the brunette who was walking away, rounding the corner. "It wasn't her fault Rose, If anything it's my fault. I called you guys over about the coffee. SO if you're going to be mad at someone, be mad at me." Taking a step forward to the beautiful girl standing before me. "I can't do that Eden." Rosalie said, hardening her face and tone. "Guys we should head into class now. We're already late." Alice spoke with a tense smile.

"Go ahead, Emmet please take the notes for m-" I was cut off by none other than Rosalie herself. "Why?" harshly said. "So we can finish our conversation." I looked to the siblings, giving them the look of  'go and leave us alone' but in a nice way. Edward and Maggie left with smiles on their faces while Jasper was looking directly at his twin. Alice and Emmet looked a bit unconvinced but slowly made their way off.

"I'm not finishing anything. Our conversation is over."

"It's not over because you're still upset and you're blaming Cam for something that isn't her fault. Why can't you blame me" I pressed the issue a bit more. Rosalie backed away some more only to make me take a step loser. Why was she avoiding me?

"I am not upset and I can't blame you okay? Just go to class before you get me into any more trouble." And with that the blonde walked off leaving me alone by myself. Taking a good look at Rosalie swaying her hips while strutting away, her honey dew hair bouncing and the look she gave me after she walked away. As if she took my breath away.

Walking into class the teacher still wasn't there so I took my seat next to Emmet. "How'd that go newbie?" he looked over smirking. I hated the nickname. "Don't call me newbie and it didn't go anywhere. She walked away before I could interrogate her for answers." I gave him a side smile and averted from any more conversation with him. Still in an amazing mood I was determined to resolve my issue with Rosalie and continue on with a good day. Finally the teacher came and we just did notes from the textbook.

Next period I was walking to my locker only to find everyone already changing though I did not see Alice and Rosalie yet. Taking off my jacket I tried to unzip the white ruffle dress I had decided to wear today.

"Need a hand?" Alice was leaning against the locker a few down from mine smiling at me as usual. Smiling at her perfect timing Rosalie stood in the corner of the locker room keeping a close eye on her sister or on me. Not sure I shook it off and got dressed. Once Alice had the dress unzip she made her way to her sister and I changed.

"Beautiful as always Forbes." Cam came from behind a bit too flirtatiously. "Well, thanks Cam. Head in and I'll follow." I bid goodbye as I was not fully dressed. Jessica and Cameron alongside the girls left leaving me and a few other girls to finish up.  "Beautiful as always Forbes, she has to be kidding me Alice, really? What has this world become? Beautiful? Please." I overheard Rosalie rant to Alice Not wanting to listen to anymore of the conversation I left and head to Cameron. Feeling a bit gut wrenched, I was completely out of it during P.E.

"What's wrong Eddy?" Cam asked, walking beside me since I was doing laps around the gym. "Nothing's wrong Cam, I just don't feel like playing around." I smiled fakely. "Even I know that's a lie. Seriously what's wrong?" she stopped me and put both hands on my shoulder. Choosing to come up with some second level drama I told her about my mom not being home. So technically it's not a lie. She offered to come visit after school or if I ever was lonely in the big house of mine. Thanking her I sat down by the bleachers alone cheering  and watching the girls play volleyball while the boys played basketball on the other side of the gym.

"I love your dress Eden, where did you get it?" Alice spoke behind me which startled me very much. "Jeez Alice, don't scare me like that." The pixie girl smiled and sat next to me with Jasper a bleacher down looking at her like she was his everything. "So? Where did you get it?!"

"Calm down TinkerBell, I got it in New York when I was visiting for a summer. I had it for white party my mother threw at our vacation house." The thought of the old days, the days my mom kept me at arms length and no more than that. I used to hate her for never giving me freedom and keeping me so close but now it's all I want. For my mom to want around me again. "Rosalies from New York." she directed to the girl on my right side. Still hurt by what she said about me, I did not mind her. Ignoring her was the only way I could ensure that I wouldn't shed a tear at her harshful words. "Where are you guys from?" I asked making sure the topic did not have to do with Rosalie.

"Instead of asking where each of us is from why don't I ask you why you were so cheerful this morning?Almost as cheerful as Alice." Jasper said, cocking his head towards me taking the topic off them and back to me. What was he trying to accomplish? "Why? I can't be happy?" Raising my brow to him I waited for a reply but he simply nodded his head and focused back on Alice. Feeling uneasy being around the Cullens I got up and walked to Cameron and Jessica. The rest of class I sat on the floor spread out. Leaving the gym 5 minutes early to make sure I don't have to encounter any of the girls I changed and headed to the hallway that led to my next class with Alice and Edward. I was really thinking of skipping but I have to be happy today. I kept to myself that class and kept conversation to a bare minimum until lunch came around and I bolted out.
