Chapter 2

I felt like publishing two chapters, its 2:30am rn. Anyways these were written kinda rushed, and most likely have spelling mistakes, sorry in advance.

"I ran into Sora earlier while i was out." Tengen said as the Hashira meeting ended. Everyone looked over at him with hope in their eyes.

"Really! Is she okay?" Mitsuri asked, sitting up and smiling. Even Sanemi turned his head to hear.

"Yeah, shes fine. Her hair is shorter, though. Shes living out somewhere west of here, with a small family."

"Did you ask her to come back? We all miss her." Shinobu said, clutching her haori lightly.

"I did," he started, "she said she couldn't, and that she sends her regards. She said she wouldn't be able to face us all after she left."

"We need her skills when we go against muzan. We cant just let her go like this." Sanemi said, crossing his arms.

"Its her choice. If she doesn't want to come back, we cant exactly force her." Giyu said, and everyone sighed, knowing he is right.

With Sora

"Hey Akari, im sorry about last night.." Sora said, her head tilted downward.

"Its okay, Sora, but i still think you should go back, even to just say sorry." Akari smiled, holding Soras hands gently.

"I thought about it last night when i was on my way back from the markets.. i want to go back to my village before i face them. I need to talk to someone very important."

"Thats good! Im glad you're finally able to branch out, Sora." Akari smiled, "That day, when we first met, i meant what i said to you."

2 months ago; when Sora met Akari

"Are you okay?" Sora asked lightly, clutching her sword in her hands after slicing a demons head off.

"Yes.. thank you so much! I owe my life to you!" She thanked, bowing down to the floor.

"Oh.. uh its okay! You don't need to do that!" Sora said, blushing. She wasn't used to people bowing to her.

"But i do! You saved me, and if you didn't i wouldn't be able to bring these herbs back to my mother.."

"Your mother is sick?"

"Yes, she has an incurable disease.." she said with sadness laced in her voice. Something in Sora changed. She felt the need to help this family, even if were the last thing to do.

"Im Sora Niji. If you don't mind, could you take me to her? I know a fare bit of medicine myself." Sora said, sheathing her sword and holding her hand out for the small girl in front of her.

"Im Akari Futaba. Its a pleasure to meet you, Sora." Akari said, taking her hand.

It was warm and soft, like a mothers touch. The aura Sora had was like a soft cloud, so fluffy yet delicate. One wrong misconception could break it. It felt like its been broken before, but someone put it together. Like it was healing.

"You have an aura like stars and rainbows, its truly beautiful. You have a damaged heart though. One that has seen much trauma starting at a young age. You deserve love and happiness, Sora. I can tell.."
