What happened to Tulsipur?

8 years later - In Tulsipur

It is Holi time. Only two days are left for Holi. Every village in Bengal is eagerly waiting to celebrate Holi. But Tulsipur is being quite. No prepartions for Holi celebration is found. Everyone is living their normal life as if they are doing daily.

In a corner place of Tulsipur there is a house. A lady is calling her daughter.

Kasturi! Kasturi! Come fast... Arey what are you doing Kasturi?

A peaceful Bgm Plays.....

Kasturi: Hn ma. Ma you know what, I am very happy, I was preparing my New dress which I bought from Kolkatta.

Pooja(Ma): Smiles. New dress? But for what?

Kasturi: Ma, did you forget it? Only two days is left for Holi na. Don't I want to wear new dress for holi? See ma here, I have also bought colour powders for Holi. You know na ma, this is the first holi of me after becoming Barrister. Every year we leaped holi just because of no money. But this time, we will celebrate it by my salary. Not only Holi, we can celebrate Diwali, Durga pooja, many many festivals here after using my salary.

Pooja thinks silently with sad face...

Pooja: Kasturi listen, we can't celebrate Holi here. But we can worship and pray to god on holi day. I will make many sweets for you. But we can't use colour powders, we can't celebrate it in public place of Tulsipur.

Kasturi shocked..

Kasturi: Why ma, you are saying like this? Are you concerning about money for this celebrations? But ma, now i am a Barrister. I earn money which is more enough for our expenditures. So you do not worry about money ma.

Pooja stops her.

Pooja: Oh Oh Kasturi. See I know that my daughter is a barrister, she earns. But now money is not the problem. Not only us, no people here in Tulsipur will celebrate holi or any festivals.

Kasturi with doubted face...

Kasturi: Ma, what are you saying? But when I left to kolkata for my higher studies Tulsipur was celebrating everything. But now after 8 years I returned here, why Tulsipur is this much silent?

Pooja thinks in her mind: How will I say this to you Kasturi. Tulsipur's colours, happiness already wiped off before 5 years. You are now a Barrister, You are the first child of my generation to get educated. Not only in our home, girls of Tulsipur got educated only by the effort took by Barrister babu(Anirudh). He gave colours to girl children's life, but now his life is full of dark. RC haveli is full of sorrow. Barrister babu is considered as another god here. When god is in sorrow and dark how Tulsipur will get its colour. I can't tell you about this Kasturi, because no one here will talk about that.

Kasturi: Ma, Ma.

Pooja: Hn, Hn Kasturi.

Kasturi: I asked you something but you went into your dreams. What is the reason for tulsipur's conditon?

Kasturi's dad entered the hall and stops Kasturi's quesions.

Raju(Dad): Stop your questions dear. This is not your court. smiles.. This is our house, why this much questions about tulsipur? Hn? See time is up for your work. Go and get ready.

Kasturi: Oh god! I forget it. You all know na how punctuality is our Barrister babu. He will shout at me if I get late to court as he is the head of all barristers there. Ok I am leaving.

Kasturi leaves to her room.....

Pooja: Thank you. You saved me from Kasturi's question. Orelse today I would have told her everything. And for sure due to her curiosity she would have speak about this in public. And People may stare at her.

Raju: Hn Pooja. Beware of that topic. No one should speak about it for Roy chaudhary's sake as respect and thanks giving from Tulsipur's people.
