Jonathan casually flapped his wings as he flew away from the fire with the others. They would come back, right? And Elaine would use her animus magic to fix everything, right? He looked ahead, and started to hum to himself. Edric took a look at him and said "A vibe!", and started bobbing to the tune, Jonathan joining soon after. Justin turned around. "WHAT THE HECK? OUR TREEHOUSES ARE ON FIRE, AND YOU ARE STILL TALKING ABOUT VIBES???!" Then he facetaloned and zoomed ahead.

Meanwhile, Jonathan and Edric kept vibing. Jonathan shook himself and saw that Xiaowan and Izzy were fake fighting. He zoomed closer and frowned at them. "Whaaat is this? Are you okay?" He asked sarcastically. Izzy and Xiaowan burst into simultaneous laughter. "Nothing! Is! Wrong!" they exclaimed through sobs of giggles.

They kept on flying through the dark night sky, heated by the hungry flames. But slowly, the red monster disappeared out of sight. "Ooh look a cave!" Callum shouted. All the dragons noticed a hole in the mountainside and flew in, Callum leading the way with his bright fire.

"OHMYGOSH IT'S A BAT!" Callum screamed as a dark shape brushed right past his cheeks. For a second, the cave went into darkness without his fire, but he quickly realised and opened his mouth again.

"Yeesh." Jonathan said. "Just a bat!"

Callum tried to frown without closing his mouth, which looked very weird. Jonathan and Edric started to discuss inaudible subjects, in the creepy darkness, lit up only by Callum's bright fire which gave off some warmth. Jonathan, out of instinct, flew a bit closer to the only source of heat, and accidentally knocked Callum of balance. He tumbled, and nearly hit the hard stone floor of the cave, but his wings unfolded again just in time to stop the impact. The fire had been put out by the shock of the floor, and as he swooped up to Jonathan again, the fire once again flickered out from his jaws, illuminating his face as he wrinkled his face and gave Jonathan a weird look.

Jonathan tilted his head and asked "Sorry Callum, are you okay? Sorry, it was an accident."

Callum just nodded slightly and mumbled around his fire "Um fun shank yo." Collin translated for him "I'm fine, thank you!"

Jonathan just nodded and said "If you're sure."

Then the cave abruptly ended and they were in the night again.

"Okay, let's just go back in and sleep?" Justin said, unsure. They all did Callum finding a stick on the sparse and barren ground, and made a small bonfire. They had a very hard night on the rock floor of the cave. That night, Jonathan has a dream about him and Edric bopping their heads to the music of the fire, and then the ground swallowing them into darkness. Then Edric disappeared and he was alone with some scary dragons. They all started singing maths formulas and then, the dream abruptly ended.

He woke up to find a whole heap of mangoes. He looked around, and when he saw that all the other dragonets were sleeping, his talon sneakily reached out to the pile. Then Xiaowan came back with a talonful of strawberries. Jonathan immediately pulled his talon back, and pretended to focus on his talons.

Xiaowan gave him a suspicious look. "No one's allowed to eat until we all wake up." She informed. Jonathan walked over to her and pretended to examine the strawberries as his stomach grumbled slightly. Then he started stretching, reaching his wings as far as he could. Calvin woke up behind him, and Jonathan, not noticing, told Xiaowan that he need to stretch. Xiaowan snorted and turned away. Calvin, meanwhile, saw a talon reaching stealthily under Jonathan's wings and reaching forward to grab a mango.

"Window YEET!" he cried and grabbed Jonathan's talons. "What?!" Jonathan screeched and his eyes widened as he saw Calvin grinning goofily behind him. "You have committed CRIME!" Calvin said, smiling harder.

Jonathan sighed in disappointment. "Ah. So close."

"Jonathan!" Xiaowan scolded. "I thought you would have more self-control!"

Her shouting woke Izzy up, who was sleeping near her. As she got up, her wing bumped into Elaine, who woke up as well. As she stretched, her talon hit Stephanie's face, and Stephanie accidentally hit Edric with her tail, who immediately jumped up and shouted "WHO'S THERE?" and almost scratched her.

That way, every dragon woke up.

"Oops, sorry guys!" Edric said.

"Uh... It's okay." Callum replied sleepily. "We weren't having the greatest night."

Jonathan could see the purple bruises on his large wings from sleeping on the rock all night. He shook his head, and suddenly gasped at the sight far far away from him that he hadn't noticed. It was a grass plain blooming with poppies and daisies and dandelions.

And in the middle, camouflaged carefully, were some big boulders with small windows and doors carved in.
