Theo
————
Being seen with anyone who wasn't Slytherin was a risk. Theo knew his house mates were keeping a close eye on him, and he didn't want anyone to get hurt on his behalf. The pier was a fortunate discovery he had made. No one seemed to pay any attention to that area of the grounds.
The day was halfway gone and classes had been boring like always. The corridors were crowded as Theo began to walk to his next class. He discreetly scanned the crowd as he headed for his next dull hour of learning, and noticed a familiar face talking to another familiar face as they laughed. One boy was tall. Taller than everyone else in the hallway which made him easy to spot. His hair was a caramel brown and his skin was a rich cocoa. He had a strong build too which gave him an intimidating look until he smiled. His smile was friendly and lit up the entire corridor. The second boy was shorter and had curled strawberry blonde hair. His face was splattered with freckles and his eyes were strikingly blue. Theo took one more look around the corridor before making a decision. He walked nonchalantly towards the two boys. Once he was in arms reach he grabbed the wrist of the tall boy and pulled him into an empty classroom.
"What the hell?" The boy said before turning to see Theo. Their eyes locked and annoyance washed over the boys face. "What do you want Theo?" He asked impatiently.
"I just need to talk to you." Theo's tone was pleading.
The boy rolled his eyes and began to head for the door. Theo pressed his back flat against the door and placed his hand over the door handle. "Bronson, please. Please let me explain." Theo begged as he looked up towards Bronson who was avoiding his eyes. "Bronson." His voice was soft as he attempted to ask for his attention one more time.
Bronson flared his nostrils and bit down on his bottom lip. "5 minutes." He crossed his arms and looked at Theo.
"Really?" Hope glimmered in Theo's eyes. "Okay. Okay. I um..... I tried practicing what I was going to say but I already forgot everything. Um..... I just basically need to tell you that you were never someone that I was just messing around with."
Bronson scrunched his face into a confused frown. "What?" He asked.
"You're.......you......" Theo let out a long breath as he looked at the ground. Bronson intently observed Theo as he mustered up the courage to speak. Theo's eyes flipped upwards and looked into Bronson's. "You are more than just messing around."
Bronson and Theo sat in silence as Bronson felt his heart quickening. Theo spoke again, "I thought you knew what you meant to me. I'm sorry I never told you." Bronson was silent. "Please say something." Theo said anxiously shifting his stance. Silence crept upon the two boys once again as they watched each other.
"Thank you." Bronson choked out.
Theo swallowed and glanced around the room expecting Bronson to say more. When he didn't he spoke, "You're welcome."
"I have to get to class." Bronson took a step forward and gestured to the door Theo was still barricading.
"Oh. Right." Theo slid over unblocking the path.
Bronson placed his hand on the door handle and paused. He stared at the handle and took a deep breath, "I'll see you around Theo." He looked up and smiled without opening his lips.
"Bronson?" Theo spoke so quietly it was almost inaudible.
Bronson stopped turning the handle and looked at Theo once again.
"Come to the pier tonight. You can bring Quigley." Bronson eyed Theo suspiciously. Theo could sense the skepticism. "Just.....just come, okay?"
"Okay." Bronson walked through the door and left Theo alone in the empty classroom.
