The next evening Sophie finished dinner and headed down to the pier. She was eager to see her friends after the previous night. What did Draco mean when he said she pulls him back in? Was this his final straw? Was their friendship finally over? Draco had told her many times to leave her alone and she never listened to him, but would she now? She wanted to talk to Theo about it and clear the air with Bronson.

When she finally made it to the pier Cho was sitting cross legged staring out at the water.

"Hi." Sophie spoke as she sat down next to her.

Cho smiled at her. "Hi."

The air was slightly uncomfortable.

"I'm sorry about yesterday." Sophie said. "I put you in the middle of everything. I really thought Theo had taken care of it."

"It's not your fault." Cho squeezed Sophie's hand sympathetically. "Was Malfoy upset?" Cho asked. "He looked rather angry when you chased after him."

"Yeah." Sophie looked down. "He's upset with me."

"I can't believe you two are friends. I'm still adjusting." Cho confessed.

"Me too." Sophie shook her head and laughed.

Theo approached them and sat down.

"Hi." Sophie smiled at him and looked around. "Where's Bronson?" She asked.

"He's not coming." Theo avoided Sophie and Cho's eyes.

"What?" Cho asked.

"He said he doesn't want to see any of us." Theo scoffed.

"Well, how are we supposed to make things better?" Sophie asked.

"We don't I guess." Theo licked his lips. "I tried so hard to explain things to him but he won't listen." He shook his head. "And it's not like I can just march into his dorm and talk to him. We're not supposed to be seen together."

"I'm sorry Theo. This is my fault." Sophie sighed.

"No. I should've talked to him like we agreed."

"I should've asked you first before I brought Malfoy." Sophie grabbed Theo's hand. "I'm sorry. I can talk to Bronson for you."

Theo smiled. "Thanks." They were silent for a moment.

"How is Malfoy?" Sophie asked.

Theo looked concerned. "He also wants nothing to do with me."

"That makes two of us." Sophie looked away.

"What?" Theo looked at her. "What did he say to you?" Theo knew how much Sophie meant to Draco, even if Draco wouldn't say it.

"He told me to leave him alone." Sophie looked at Theo. "I mean, he's said that before, but I think he meant it this time."

Theo felt himself growing increasingly nervous about Draco. If he didn't have Sophie and Theo, who was there?

"How close are you two with Malfoy?" Cho asked.

Theo and Sophie looked at each other and then back at Cho. "It doesn't matter." Sophie spoke. "It's obviously over now. We need to focus on Bronson."

Cho nodded. "You're right. Maybe we should each try talking to him separately. You try tomorrow afternoon and if he doesn't listen I'll try the next day."

"Maybe you should speak to him first. You didn't invite Malfoy here like Theo and I." Sophie suggested.

"Okay. You're right." Cho spoke.
