How To Confess?

"So, you finally admitted it to yourself," Jeno chuckled through Jisung's phone speaker as the younger boy slathered glue on the back of one of the images he printed.
"Yeah, yeah," he grumbled, slapping the image down on to a clear section of the board. He had to maneuver the photos in spaces that hadn't already been lined with decorative papers and tapes, but luckily Chenle nor he made much progress on their disaster of a project for that to be too much of an issue. Now it was just a matter of getting everything down on the board and hoping that everything didn't go to shit.

"What made you cave to your feelings, my child?" Jeno said dramatically through the graininess of the phone.
Jisung huffed, shrugging though he knew Jeno couldn't see him, "I dunno, man." He flipped the new image in his hand over and immediately felt the fuzzy warm feelings associated with Chenle's existence. Which was ridiculous, the picture was just an image of a strewn puffer jacket that was draped on his desk chair. But Chenle gave it to him. He should probably give it back at some point, but Chenle's jacket gave him warmth and comfort, in more ways than just shielding him from the winds outside of Jeno's home. It was part of the very first time Chenle was anything but cold toward him, ironically. A time when Jisung started to put trust in Chenle, when he joined along to get his friend back and felt safer knowing him than Jeno.

Yeah, he knew exactly why he caved into his feelings.

He was still a bit annoyed and slightly confused by them, but he had to put trust in his heart and hope that it wouldn't fail him. It hadn't failed him yet, might as well keep going.

"So how exactly do you plan to profess your love, huh?" Jeno asked snarkily, Jisung grumbling once again.
He slammed the picture down on the board, "it's not love, dumbass!"
"Sure, so anyway answer my question," Jeno retaliated lazily.
Jisung sighed, scratching his head. "uh, well I don't know the details," he mumbled awkwardly. He had thrown himself in a corner if he was being real with himself. He had a vague idea of what to do, but execution was tricky. He didn't have the words. How to express himself verbally was hard. Though that seemed to be the problem with a lot of cases, things just couldn't be expressed through the limitations of language. He can say the feeling was fuzzy and warm but in reality it wasn't just that now was it? It was more than fuzzy and warm and loved and everything, but there wasn't a word for that. The word love just didn't hold all he felt.
"Well, whatever comes out of your mouth, I'll be here to support you, bro," Jeno said warmly.
Jisung looked down to his phone with a small smile. "Even if I completely fuck up?"
Jeno's laughter echoed through the speaker, "even if you completely fuck up."
"Thanks, hyung."

"Ah, yeah, by the way," Jeno chuckled awkwardly, Jisung pausing his crafting endeavours at the tone shift.
"What's up?" he questioned, tilting his head in confusion.
Jeno sighed almost defeatedly, "yeah, you were right."
Jisung blinked, not registering what he was correct about. Don't get him wrong, the sound of the words coming out Jeno's mouth was music to his ears, but he still wanted to know why. "What was I right about?"
A moment of silence passed, Jisung furrowing his brows and leaning toward his phone in case the line died when Jeno huffed. "Not Mark...Jaemin."
Jisung's eyes lit up, "OH!"
"Yeah," Jeno sighed, as if he were disappointed in himself, though Jisung assumed it was probably just because he was right and Jeno had to live with that.

"What, did you just see his abs and be like 'damn, I want that'?" Jisung chuckled teasingly.
"...I mean partially, yeah," Jeno reluctantly agreed with his own brain, Jisung laughing slightly louder in response, "but it's also the fact that...he..."
"That he what?" Jisung bit his lip as he giggled to himself.
"Don't judge to hard when I say this, man," Jeno inhaled deeply before spitting out "but he is the sweetest bean of a person I have ever met beside Renjun and I want to just constantly hug him and Injun in my arms forever the end" in one long breath.
Jisung burst into laughter as Jeno whined on the sideline that Jisung had promised he wouldn't judge. "I mean," Jisung tried to speak coherently through his fit, "I think of Chenle the same way but I would never say that word for word out loud, man. Minus Renjun hyung, of course."
"Shut the hell up you overgrown hamster," Jeno snapped back, huffing in defeat, not realising what Jisung had said, not that Jisung had registered what had come out of his mouth himself.
Jisung sighed dramatically, shaking his head at his phone, "a hamster, a chicken, what else am I?"
"A mistake and a bad friend," Jeno said irritatedly.

Jisung chuckled, carding through leaves of dark decorative paper, "you planning to tell them?"
"I dunno to be honest," Jeno, the sound of his body hitting the carpet crackled quietly through the speaker, "should I?"
"Hey," Jisung dropped the paper wad, pointing at his phone with narrowed eyes, "if I can buck up and tell Chenle, you can do the same with you chaos duo." He shook his head as took a piece of paper and tore it, "don't be such a cabbage."
Jeno scoffed, falling into a quiet laugh, "I'll try not to be."
"Besides, Jaemin will anyway know automatically so it doesn't matter," Jisung pointed out, gesturing at his phone with scissors in his hand. It was weird that he could say that and for it to not sound strange to his ears.
A tiny moment of silence ran through his phone before Jeno muttered "shit man I forgot about that."

Jisung laughed quietly in response, looking back through his photos to see what else was suited for the project. It also had to go with the mid green and blue vibe, so Jisung just had to print out the pictures in black and white. Luckily for him, Chenle's whole aesthetic was black and white. He wanted to put at least a silhouette of the boy, but unfortunately for him, not only was his teacher someone he had to see outside of school on weekends, but also he had to give the board back to Chenle before their presentation. All Jisung hoped was that Chenle was oblivious enough not to pick up on the fact that the images Jisung had added were of things that revolved around him. The jacket, the sunglasses, the space near the fireplace, the broken tree, etc. He bit his lip as he pasted another picture on to the board, slightly covering some decorative paper Chenle had put earlier.

Basically, he just really hoped that Chenle didn't pick up on the fact that Jisung had basically called him home.
