Chenle chuckled quietly as Jisung cocked his head at the board, looking back to him in confusion. "You bet me to it," he whispered before turning back to their class.

He took a deep inhale as it clicked within Jisung's brain what Chenle meant, turning back to him with wide eyes. "I...I find comfort and a sense of home...in Jisung. Working on this project together helped me feel more comfortable as myself and around others, so much so that now I can even speak in front of a class," he chuckled to himself, pushing his hands into his pockets, "as annoying as Jisung can be, he was the reason I could be more comfortable in the person I am and helped me accept myself as not this dark brooding shut out, but as someone who cares about his friends and family, and that maybe the people around me aren't that bad." He smiled up at Jisung, looking as if a major weight had lifted off his chest. He quickly whipped back to his classmates, "don't get me wrong, I still dislike everyone, I just dislike this one slightly less."

Mr Seo nodded to Chenle as the class chuckled quietly, "I think Jisung's kinda neat, I don't want anyone to take him away from me." He looked down, a soft smile on his lips, "I hope you don't take him away from me, I wouldn't really know what to do." Chenle looked up, sighing in relief as he saw the slightly bewildered class. Seems like Chenle really did have the same idea.

He turned and bowed to Mr Seo, thanking him and the class with a grin before all sets of eyes landed on Jisung. Taking a shaky inhale, Jisung expressed himself as best he could. "Well...I, obviously, as you can probably see, find a lot of comfort and warmth in Chenle's presence, even through the irony," he chuckled quietly, looking back at Chenle as he laughed quietly alongside him. "But I think I'll save my words about Chenle for a bit later, yeah?" He looked at Chenle hopefully, the older boy nodding. He smiled, glad that he would let his words be only for him, something they shared together and kept for themselves in the quiet. Jisung inhaled sharply, looking back at his peers as he felt his nerves slowly dissipate into the air around him, "So instead I'll talk about the meaning of some of these other photos."

He looked back at his board, breaking into a small grin as his eyes landed on the image of Jeno's fireplace. "In the past few months, I've learnt a lot about my friends." His eyes went comically large, "like a lot lot." He looked back, grinning as his classmates laughed quietly. He sighed, looking back to his board, "I've met a few others and slowly have become...I guess more open minded? My friends are all a bit strange in their own ways," he glanced to Chenle with a chuckle, "some in more ways than others." He took a deep inhale, now fully turning to his class. "This project, if anything, has told me that I look for comfort in all the people around me. That when I'm scared or on the verge of tears, I look to my friends." He pointed back to the board at a picture of a cafe, "here I looked for advice from Renjun and Jaemin hyung." He pointed to a picture of Jeno's hallway, "here I literally burst into tears into Jeno hyung's arms." he laughed, pointing down to the fireplace again, "here I learned the most amazing things about my friends." He looked back at his classmates, "here is my comfort, and I hope in sharing it with you," he glanced to the boy beside him, "you won't take it away from me."

The two boys bowed to the classroom, the class politely clapping. Well, except for Chaeryeong screaming about how proud she was of her "son". Mr Seo chuckled, shaking both of their hands and taking the board back with the other completed projects. As he shook Jisung's hand, Jisung quickly mumbled to him. "Hyung, can I please step out, I think I'm gonna die."
Johnny chuckled, patting the boys back and nodding to him, gesturing for him and Chenle to step outside.

As soon as the door closed behind the two of them, Jisung gasped and collapsed on the floor. "Sweet mother of Iron Man, I think I'm gonna pass out," he wheezed, rolling on to his back. He really felt as if he had run a hundred kilometre sprint, his lungs desperately trying to keep up with his ever pounding heart.
As the younger boy's head shook, Chenle laughed, lightly kicking Jisung's limp body, "oi idiot," he bent down, looking fondly toward Jisung, "you still owe me a few words."
"Hmm no I don't," Jisung said nonchalantly. Chenle huffed, pulling Jisung up and sitting down next to him, dropping him and letting him fall back onto his lap. Jisung snorted, lying limp on Chenle's lap for a few moments before sitting up with a deep sigh.
He looked back at him with puffed out cheeks, his face slowly heating up under the gaze of Chenle's smile. This boy really had to be the death of him. At least it wasn't in the way he initially anticipated.

"...so we had the same idea," Jisung started off, awkwardly scratching his neck as he looked to the side. Chenle chuckled, resting his arm on Jisung's shoulder and lightly brushing his flushed cheeks, which deepened in colour upon contact.

Jisung pursed his lips, looking back to him and immediately falling for Chenle's eyes. "...yeah, Lele. You're the person of my comfort. The person I want to come to when I feel low, and I want to be the person who can protect you from the stuff you can't fend yourself from. You've managed to open me up to a weird world of wonders and helped me be more relaxed in times of stress, even if my heart beats faster than the speed of sound in your presence." He carefully took Chenle's hands into his own, holding them and hoping to never let go. "I want to take care of you. Please. I want to be your home, and the person you think of in the mornings and in the night. I want to be your source of comfort, the one you continue to run to when the world comes crashing down around you and the one helping you stand after it crumbles. Please let me be the one who keeps you warm and safe. Please let me love you. Please let me be yours."
Chenle giggled, resting his forehead on Jisung with a short laugh, "sounds like a Japanese wedding proposal."
"Woah, too soon for that," Jisung chuckled, taking Chenle's hands to his chest, holding them to his heart. Not that he wouldn't mind that, but they were obviously way too young and he still had a lot to learn. He just wanted Chenle to be the one to teach him, one step at a time.

Chenle sighed quietly, wrapping his arms around Jisung's waist and holding him tightly. He rested his head on his chest, smiling to himself as Jisung moved his arms around the boy's shoulders, pressing a small kiss into his hair.
"I thought you said you wouldn't fall for me," Chenle chuckled, subconsciously nuzzling into Jisung's chest.
As he carded his fingers through the elder's hair, Jisung laughed quietly in response. "Well I guess I was wrong, now wasn't I." Very much so it seems. The biggest lie he had ever told himself, apparently. Good he got through to himself.
"Would you shut the fuck up?"
Sorry.

Chenle looked up, clutching to Jisung's shirt, He sighed, breaking into a smile, resting his head on Jisung's shoulder. "Then take care of me. Be the person I come to when I can't take the world anymore. You already take up my mind, take the rest of my space. Be my home. I'll always let you be mine."

"Thank you," Jisung said in a low voice.
Chenle nodded before sitting up with a grin, "now you gotta kiss me cause I've been waiting like ten years, man."
Jisung snorted, bursting into quiet giggles as he cupped Chenle's face, bringing their lips together. Chenle sighed quietly, tilting his head ever so slightly as Jisung dropped his arms to his neck, pulling him closer, feeling higher than he ever had in his entire life. Jaemin was right. He had this. He had it better than he could ever have anticipated. And as he smiled into their kiss, his heart slowly swam in the warmth he had created in Chenle's arms, doing flips in the ecstasy.
