Jisung grinned, jogging up to the boy in the dark hoodie. He called out his name to catch his attention, Chenle turning to the sound and smiling upon seeing him. Jisung bumbled up slightly, the large board under his arm making it a bit awkward to run as he caught up to Chenle who was waiting for him.
"Here," Jisung beamed, handing over the large board to the older boy.
Chenle chuckled, taking their project from him before ruffling his hair, "thanks, Sung."
Jisung saluted, going to turn on his heels to go and find Chaeryeong, but Chenle grabbed a hold of his arm. "Walk with me?" he asked, cocking his head slightly with a small puppy pout that Jisung's heart had never built a resistance to.
Immediately, Jisung caved, smiling brightly at him as he was turned by Chenle. Oh how he wanted to just walk into the sunset with this boy."You filled in some space? Chenle asked, taking Jisung's hand into his own and swinging them slightly.
Jisung nodded with a hum, "I left some space for you to add your things as well." Chenle grinned up at him, thanking him, and Jisung couldn't help but turn into a pool of melted chocolate, sweeter than pure sugar at the sight of Chenle's smile. He didn't know if his heart could hold on out any longer, but it would have to for the sake of his life.
"Can I ask what you're putting?" Jisung asked casually, wanting to know what made Chenle feel comfort, hoping that it was something he could provide.
"Nope," Chenle leaned forward, sticking his tongue out at him teasingly, "you'll find out on presentation day." He chuckled, leaning back as Jisung huffed.
The younger boy turned toward Chenle, starting to walk backwards and holding out for the fact that he won't bump into anything, "that's unfair though."
"Why?" Chenle laughed, pulling Jisung closer to him, making the boy slightly trip over his feet.
"Because," Jisung said as he regained his balance, "you'll see what I put."
Chenle rolled his eyes, "well then I guess you didn't plan that very well."
"Oh shut it you bat dolphin hybrid," Jisung shook his head, still smiling from ear to ear.The two lazily walked through the school grounds aimlessly, talking and laughing about random topics bouncing around their heads, Jisung managing to keep his cool around him. A major win in his books. This was comfort to him, talking and walking around the school with no purpose to what they did, holding tightly to Chenle's hand so he wouldn't lose his footing, but also secretly to take in the cool sensation that radiated through Chenle's skin. A weird reason by itself, but he couldn't care less. He really liked Chenle's touch.
"Wait, I have a question," Jisung furrowed his eyebrows.
Chenle laughed slightly, tilting his head, "what's up?"
"If the reason you..sippy sip the red stuff," Jisung chuckled, shaking his head at his own wording before continuing, "cause you don't have iron or vitamin D, why not just drink like pigs blood or something, you melodramatic fucks."
"Oh shut it will you," Chenle waved his free hand, scrunching his nose, "I dunno, man, I just follow the fold." He shook his head, placing his hand on Jisung's waist, the board tightly under his arm.
Jisung sighed dramatically, "but, why not break out of tradition, be a free child, break the rules?" He shook his head as Chenle groaned jokingly, Jisung moving his hand to Chenle's waist, mirroring the elder. It didn't feel strange walking with him like this, it felt as if they were dancing together as they walked, although he was pretty sure that it just looked as if he was walking backwards really weirdly to inconvenience himself with a board being held very awkwardly.
"I'm not gonna do that cause I don't know the consequences, dumbass," Chenle clicked his tongue, playing subtly with the hem of Jisung's shirt, "what if pigs blood kills me, huh?
"I highly doubt pigs blood contains silver, Lele," Jisung deadpanned.
Chenle shrugged, "you don't know that."Jisung sighed, swaying slightly as he walked, Chenle guiding him slightly so that he wouldn't walk into anything. "What else could pigs blood contain, huh?"
"Sunlight," Chenle said with full confidence, causing Jisung to snort loudly and burst into laughter. He stopped walking, resting his head on Chenle's chest as the boy tried repressing his own smile.
"How could blood contain sunlight?" he looked up with a disbelieving look.
Chenle could only shrug, giggling a bit at his own statement, "I dunno, but it could."
"You're more likely to find silver than sunlight, Chenle," Jisung chuckled.Chenle laughed quietly himself, pulling Jisung closer to him and bringing their intertwined hands up to his chest.
"You'll protect me from silver and sunlight, yeah?" Chenle asked with a small pout, Jisung falling into small fits of giggles as he nodded. He'd willingly protect Chenle from anything, even though Chenle was at least 50 times stronger and faster than he was.
Jisung smiled, blushing faintly as Chenle grinned at him, gently pulling him closer once again to him and resting his forehead up on Jisung's. "Thank you." Jisung closed his eyes as Chenle left a small peck on forehead, the older boy moving back and looking softly toward the younger. Chenle ran his thumb across Jisung's cheek, definitely feeling the heat radiating off his skin as he smiled, even through the gloves with how red Jisung felt.
"My Jisungie's so pretty," Chenle spoke in a hushed tone, Jisung opening his eyes to Chenle's warm gaze. Before he could fall at the feet of Zhong Chenle all over again, his whirring thoughts and emotions came to a crashing halt."PARK JISUNG!"
Jisung snapped out of his trance, Chenle immediately stepping back, making him miss his presence once again, even though he was just a few steps away. Chaeryeong cocked his head to Jisung, glaring at him. "Bitch! I've been waiting for like a whole fucking hour!"
"Noona," Jisung chuckled awkwardly, stepping backwards and tripping slightly as he walked closer to his friend. Chenle grimaced before nodding to Jisung, quickly grabbing the board that had fallen and turning around, taking off to the art buildings, holding on to his hood tightly.Chaeryeong turned her head back to her friend, blinking at him as he looked back at her with puffed cheeks. He paused for a moment, pursing his lips into an awkward thin lipped smile.
"...hai."
Chaeryeong smacked his shoulder before looping her arm though Jisung's, "I come to find you hanging with weird emo child?"
"Hey, he's not weird," Jisung pouted, Chaeryeong spluttering slightly at his statement.
Chaeryeong looked at him with wide eyes before pulling him in front of her sight. She squished his cheeks, leaning closer to examine his face, Jisung looking back with scared wide eyes. Forget vampires, Chaeryeong was the scariest thing in the world. Behind jellyfish.Chaeryeong bit the inside of her lip, stopping herself from smirking, "you like weird emo kid, don't you?"
Jisung smacked her hands away from his face, trying to walk away as his face flushed. Chaeryeong grabbed his arm, a triumphant laugh trilling through, "Oh my gosh, Jisung fell for the Zhong Chenle of all people."
"Shut up, dude," Jisung lightly punched Chaeryeong's arm as they began to walk to their math class."Well now I gotta get to know him," Chaeryeong clicked her tongue, swinging her arm around Jisung's shoulders. Jisung chuckled, every weird encounter he had witnessed over the past few months of knowing him running through his mind. Renjun, Jaemin, vampires, fairies, mind reading, broken trees, yeah it was a lot. Jisung laughed slightly, "maybe he is a bit weird, might wanna reassess."
"Don't try and take me away from learning about your future boyfriend, man," Chaeryeong narrowed her eyes at him."Welp, then get ready for the impossible," Jisung raised his eyebrows with a sly grin before bursting through the building doors to the hell that was his math class.
