Chapter 43 - I Promise A Future

" do you think that we are safe here?" Tommy said that night by the fireplace, I had over the day walked to the village with them, buying meat and other stuff that would help in the forest, Tubbo was fast asleep on my left leg, his hand locked on mine still I was moving my hand through his hair letting sit to one side. 

While I was getting tired I was having my eyes on my mother's book that I had started to read in  " why shouldn't we be that?" Phil asked sitting beside him " it's just that, I don't feel- " Phil cut him off " you don't feel safe?" Tommy nodded his head, " Tommy, we are all okay" I said letting my eyes rest on him " Y/n can you sing a song?" Tommy asked " well I don't know any song, other than one that Will told me" " please" he bed " okay" 

" Raise a glass to freedom" 

I started looking at my family that I would protect with all my life, as I lifted my cup the other did the same letting me smile at them

"something they can never tale away," Tommy said, leaning himself against Phil, that lifted his black wing over him letting his wing cover him like a blanket 

"no matter what they tell you" Phil sang, poking Tommy's nose with his hand

"raise a glass to the four of us" 

"Tomorrow there'll be more of us!" Tommy yelled at the top of his lungs jumping to his legs making Phil jump a little and waking Tubbo up from his sleep 

"telling the story of tonight" I sang to his face, meeting his eyes

we sang together as one, the whole area that we were in was full of joy and laughed over that moment. We were one, well till we stop singing, Tommy sank down to the ground again, leaning up at Phil again I folded my wing around Tubbo's body " thank you" he said, laying down again closing his eyes once again, quickly falling asleep again " I should be thank you, brother" kissing his head, opening the book again the page that was the one, I was reading. 

As hours went by air started to get closer, and I and Phil moved the sleepy boys in their bed, Tubbo was sleeping in my hut and had from the start. He had had many nightmares and slept much better when he was around me, so he had slept with me, not that I complain at all, I was just happy that he could still have some faith in me. Tommy, on the other hand, was sleeping in a hut alone, because that was what he wanted, still, I had an extra bed in my hut for which he would like to sleep with Tubbo. 

I laid the sleepy boy under his blue blanket stopping his toy bee under his arm, kissing him I walked out of the door again closing the door slowly to prevent it from saying a sound. " Well I think that would be going for tonight, I will be back tomorrow if that is okay?" " Yeah, of course, have a good night" he hugged me tight, and took off into the clear night sky I, on the other hand, started to clean everything that we had used over the night, humming over the whole place I washed plats, cup and picked all the carrots and potatoes placing them in a basket that was by Tommy's hut. 

" Y/n?" turning by the voice a person was standing in the shadows to the forest, the only light was from the moon " who is it?" I said, taking a lighting a torch from the fireplace that had almost gone out walking closer to the person, the figures from the person started to mark out from that little light that was there " do I know you?" I asked " no not yet, but your little brother does" looking at the hut that Tubbo was sleeping in, the door was fully open panic ran through my vans " what have you done?" walking closer to the person, it was a girl. She had wings like mine, having red hair and black eyes that were as dark as the sky was at night " nothing, but I would like to talk to you if that is possible?" " em do I have a chose?" " no not really, Ranboo?" a very tall boy walked to her said, he had half face of an endermand the other was like a normal person, having a suit on and a crown on his head " oh I have not introduced myself" reaching her hand out to me " I am Lilly, and this is my brother Ranboo" her voice and name was some kind of familiar but I could remember where from " can we sit?" she said pointing to the fireplace, nodding my hand she flew that small distant that was to the fireplace sitting down at it taking her almost broken sneakers of her feet letting them get warm from the fire. 

I and Ranboo just looked at each other moving closer to her " let me cheek on Tubbo first" walking past them to the hut, where the door was fully open. Looking in the hut, from the moonlight I could see that, it was Tommy that had walked into the hut, having his hand wrapped around his waist smiling on his mouth, letting me relax more in myself I closed the door, locking it from the outside. " All okay?" Lilly said, nodding my head I took three cups of water passing out to the two siblings " so if I may ask, how did you find us?" taking a sip of water, Lilly turned her head to her brother that was looking at the ground " well it was Tubbo that sends us the Cordes, saying that you maybe needed someone to look out for you" " well, I don't know about that, you may stay if you want to, but I have Phil that comes every day-" " do you feel like you can protect your boys" Ranboo cut me off. 

" I have promised them both that I could give them a future that they wanted, not being control by anyone. But I have received a letter today, and if I am being honest" stopping myself taking another sip of water  "I don't know if I can protect them from what there is coming" feeling tears pressing placing my hand over my head letting myself cry. 

" Y/n listen to me we are staying, we are gonna protect you guys, but promise me that you will never betray me or my brother in anything, okay?"  " Okay, thank you" smiling at her, she stood walking with her bare feet to me sitting beside me, hugging me sideways 

"you are welcome, now where can we build out hut" smiling on her face, I knew that she was a perfect fit for us, for our little hideout. Taking a deep breath I took my letter out reading it again, I ripped it up throwing it into the flams. Watching the flame, and the warmth from the burning letter I looked at them. Lilly and Ranboo that was looking at me, making me smile like a psychopath.
