Fixing Your Bow Tie

The night you asked me 'how do I look?'
Will forever be engraved in my memory.
How time stopped, my breath you took,
How I was at lost for words suddenly.

For your eyes were like Poseidon's,
I wonder how deep are those Pacific blue.
With a stare like tempest raging on,
Wherever it lands, it pierces through.

Your lips were like a temptation,
With kisses ready to burn whoever dares.
I start to lose my faith and question,
How could such heaven be the devil's lair.

Then you smiled and shrugged,
My cheeks flared like your lips.
Yet my thoughts remained in a fog,
Coldness crept down my fingertips.

You chuckled and heaved a sigh,
Instead you asked me to fix your tie.
My hands reached and fumbled down,
Hiding my flushed face with a frown.

And there we were in the midst of the crowd,
The only sound I hear is my heart beating loud.
You were silently watching me,
As I was fixing your tie quietly.

When I was done, you left with a smile,
With this memory that will haunt me for a while.
Thinking of when could I ever say it right,
You look so gorgeous that fleeting night.
