On a Mission

The Squad stood on the rooftop of a building that somehow remained standing after Eren's transformation. They all looked terrified as they saw the sheer size of Eren's Founding Titan. 

"It's...It's over." Reiner with a slight stutter.

"No shit..." Jean said.

"To think Eren would do something like that...He's really going to eradicate all of humanity outside the walls." Connie said.

"But...That makes no sense." Sasha said.

"That is true..." Armin said.

"We know that the outside world lives the same way we did. They were repressed and Eren knows that. So, wouldn't it make more sense for him to only destroy Marley?" Armin stated.

"That could be a possibility...But maybe that idiot just wants to kill people for the fun of it." Annie said.

"There's no way he'd do something like that." Mikasa said. She clearly sounded irritated by Annie's statement.

"Seriously? After what Eren told you, you're going to say that?" Jean said.

"You shut your mouth."

"Quiet down, brats. There's no time to argue." Levi said stepping in.

There was now silence among them. The only thing they could hear was the marching of the Wall Titans. Lucky for them, they didn't have to kill any Titans or soldiers. Eren took care of an entire army and 60 Titans all on his own.

Over by the capital, they heard what sounded like someone shouting. They turned to the direction of the screams and saw Onyankopon on the same courtyard they were minutes ago.

"Yo, guys! Over here!" He shouted.

They all went back to the capital and landed in from of Onyankopon who was by himself. Yelena was still being detained.

"Onyankopon? What are you doing here?" Armin asked.

"I was with the Military Police. They came in search of any survivors. They let me go, so I came up here to get a good view of what happened then I saw you all." Onyankopon explained.

"You should've stayed back in the inner walls were its safe." Armin said.

"Relax. There doesn't seem to be any Titans or soldiers. Just leave it all to Eren....That moron." Jean said and muttered the last part.

"Anyways, Commander. You have a plan?" Jean asked.

"Wish I did, but.... We should go someplace far from the walls to avoid any of those Titans."

Nighttime came and the Squad was gathered around a campfire in a forest. Hanji was making stew over the campfire. Pieck was in her Cart Titan, Annie was at the back where it was dark, and the others were gathered in a circle.

"To think we'd be working together after four years. We came inside the walls knowing of the Founder's powers. All we wanted was to prevent all this from happening." Reiner stated.

"But was it necessary to destroy the wall and make our lives hell?" Jean asked in an angered tone.

"We had no choice. If we didn't do as we were told, they would've killed us; we had to follow orders. We were told our mission to retake the Founder would be difficult, but the Founder just had to fall under the worst person imaginable."

"You're not wrong on that...To think he'd ever do all this. Even after we spent all those months in Marley, but I guess Eren's always been a heartless bastard...He used that trust we had in him and in the end, he turned his back on us and went to his brother." Connie said with his eyes hanging low with anger.
