29. Dinner

KENDRICK'S POV

Dahil sa sinabi ni Ocean ay sabay-sabay kaming napalingon sakanya, nasasamid at nanlalaki pa ang mata ni Lake dahil sa sinabi.

"Why should I say yes to you when you don't ask me diretly and give me a ring?"

"Akala ko naman! Singsing pala Bro! Singsing lang pala ang susi!" Ani Lake na napawi ang gulat.

"You know princess, you are pretty savage and can make the whole room intense just by uttering small words." Parang hindi makapaniwalang masasabi iyon ni Wave sa kapatid nyang babae.

"Kendrick, you have our blessing." Tita Atlanna said with a smile, I looked at the Ocean Aquiesha who gave me a bit of a heart attack earlier. She's smiling deviously, she stuck her tounge out before continued eating with a smile.

After the meal, nagkanya-kanya na muna ang pamilya may mga batang kailangan matulugin at pakainin, nasa loob si Ocean kasama ang pamangkin na si Bryle habang ako naman ay kasama ang   mga kapatid at ama nya sakanilang bakuran, they wanted to drink beer dahil ngayon nalang daw sila halos nagkita-kita ng walang holidays.

"Make her spend her happiest with you. She deserves that so much, make her have a rest after having hellish nights at the hospital, understand her when she's in chaos and in a mess, be her ride or die Kendrick James. Ngayon palang ipinagkakatiwala ko na ang nagiisang prinsesa ko sayo." Seryosong sambit ni Dr. Alegre saakin habang nakatingin sa mga bulaklak ng garden.

Naramdaman ko ang sunod-sunod na tapik saakin ng mga kapatid ni Ocean dahilan para lingunin ko sila. They just smiled at me and raised the beer cans they are holding. I did it too and drank for the toast.

With the family blessing that her family gave me, I am definitely not letting Ocean Aquiesha go without a ring on her finger.

OCEAN'S POV

"Am I really looking great now?" I asked Kendrick again before going out of his car. Nasa harapan kami ng bahay nila dahil ngayong gabi ang dinner na kailangan naming attendan para sa pamilya niya.

"Baby, when did you not look good in my eyes?" His husky voice is tempted and tired when he said those words. I looked at him with a smile and leaned in to gave him a passionate kiss.

I ended the kiss with a playful bite at his lowerlips, nangingiti akong nauna ng lumabas ng sasakyan.

"You are being a naughty girl." He whispered sexily on my ear. Tila nakakalasing at nakakliyong pakinggan ang boses niya kasama pa ang tumatamang hininga niya sa tenga ko.

"Ate Ocean is here!" Keana frantically shouted inside before running towards me and hugging me tight.

"Wow Keana Jean, you are now a woman." I said to her in awe, when I looked at her fully. She's wearing a white off-shoulder dress and a leather corset for a fashion statement, she paired it with a black ankle boots making her look like a classic-chic girl.

Tita Kim and Tito Jaime greeted us both before telling Kendrick to keep me entetained since the food is not ready yet.

"Tara sa taas may ipapakita ako." Aya nya saakin dahilan para sumunod nalang ako, their house interior literally changed. The color pallet of their house is now on the warm neutral side of colors, dati kasi at white and green, kaiba sa bahay naming white,brown, and gold pallete.

Habang paunti-unting inaakyat ag hagdan, madadaanan ang ibat-ibang achievements at pictures nila Keana at Kendrick. Medals and certificates are framed and hanged on the wall. Maybe for all of them to see and be inspired after all the achievements.
