So I ended up asking this randomer, if he knew anywhere I could stay... turns out he had a spare room.

I know... stranger danger and all that crap but at least i'll be warm and off the streets.

This guy, I found out his name was Elliot, seemed really nice and we grabbed a coffee to get to know each other before I went back to his appartment, and he is really funny and 5 years older than me at 22.

Arriving at his place with all my luggage, I offered to pay rent, but he would have none of it. Fine by me.

Showing me into my soon to be room, which had an en-suite, I was gobsmacked I didn't deserve this luxury.

'Sorry it's small,' He said meekly

'It's perfect.' I whispered, and was rewarded by a shy smirk. Which was really quite handsome.

'I'll leave you to settle in,' and with that Elliot turned around and walked out.

After unpacking, I locked the door to my room and went to sleep.

KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK!

Sitting up immediatly, I stood and bowed my head... confused that I was looking at carpet instead of wooden floor I gingerly looked up and it all came back. I HAD ESCAPED! I was away from that awful place. My heart filled with joy.

KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK!

'Marley?... are you ok in there? open up I've got you some ice tea.'

I rushed to the door and opened it, and there was Elliot, balancing a tray precariously on one hand, 'Madam, room service,' Elliot joked

Laughing at him as he came in and set the tray down on the bedside table. Mmmm he had also brought cake! I was being treated like royalty.

'Hey, do you wanna go out later? I can give you a tour of the town?' He asked nervously.

'Yeah sure,' I beamed. He was being so nice to me.

# Elliot's point of view #

Yesterday I met a beautiful girl, called Marley but clumsy me had barged into her in the street knocking her over.

When I asked if I could make it up to her, I never expected her to ask if I knew anywhere she could stay the night, I was thinking maybe I could buy her a coffee or something. This was new.

Anyway thats how she ended up in my appartment. I cannot believe a beautiful girl like her is staying in my appartment, but her eyes are so sad as if she has had a great loss.

It hurt me to see the pain they hid, and was going to make her feel comfortable around me, be good friends...maybe I could date her, I wanted her to be able to confide in me and share the pain. I could help her.

I don't know what has come over me, I have only just met this girl, and she's sending my brain into overdrive.

We had a really good day today, we went around town to the shops, where she didn't buy much. I showed her all the best cafés and restaurants to go, and the shops I liked to go in. I kept sneaking glances at her, and she seemed to look around at the shops in wonder and fascination. I was just glad she was happy.

By the end of the day she knew pretty much everything about me, and I had not gained anything from her, she had not offered any information so I hadn't asked.

After getting a chinese curry, which Marley loved. Can't believe she has never had curry before. She has never lived.

We ended the day by watching a film.

Marley fell asleep on my couch, so I picked her up, gosh she was so light, and placed her on her bed in her room.

Watching her for minute she looked so peaceful and content I had to force myself to leave her room, shutting the door behind me.
