*Elliot's POV*
I was in a panicked and frenzied state to find my mate, as scream after scream pounded around my skull all that belonged to Marley. No one else seemed to hear these screams. Just me. It must be a call for help to her mate. To me.
It tore at my heart to hear those screams, it was like being hit by a train from both sides, or a knife twisting into my heart. He must find her.
I connected to the vibe off the screams and followed them, until I came to a small square trap door.
As I reached to open it up, the scream stopped, and I had no idea whether to be relieved or more panicked.
Jumping down into the dark damp cellar, I was invited by a weak punch aimed at my face which I defly blocked and pushed away, and in one motion had the offending arm twisted behind their back and heard whoever it was whimpering in pain. For good measure he twisted it all the way, breaking this persons arm. When it came to his mate. No one got away with hurting her, he would get worse later.
The body slumped to the floor when Elliot loosened his grip, crying out in pain. I quickly searched the cellar in search of my love. My mate.
Thank God, there she was.
Marley was tied to a chair with thick rope, her hands bound and bleeding onto the floor from straining against the bonds. Her hair was matted with sweat, her eyes drooping so low she almost looked as if she was sleeping.
I rushed to her as fast as I could, and started to untie her bonds and when they were all gone enveloped her into a big hug. Only to have her try and struggle free. Pulling back and studying her face from arms length, I noticed that Marley's eyes were wide with terror.
'S-stay... away... stay away from me...'
She stuttered falling from the chair and scurrying on all fours to another tied up figure I had failed to notice earlier, she quickly had the other prisoner free, and straight away was in his arms. I felt a pang of jealousy shoot through me, why did he get a hug and not me?
Ok that was weird, I needed to get these two at this cellar.
'Hey Marls... c'mon get your friend and we will get you out of here,'
Yet Marls just stayed there in this other mans arms, staring at me suspiciously,
'W-who are you?' She mustered taking a gulp.
A cold feeling of fear filled my body and chilled my very soul.
'I'm Elliot... your mate...'
Dread was slowly filling up through my body, she will remember soon... its just the trauma.
'You don't know me? ... Well you do know me, how can you not remember me Marls? '
I spoke to her crouching down to her level and reaching for her hand, and pain slashed through me like a whip when she cowered away, swiftly moving her hand away from my reach.
'Look, it's just the trauma, you will remember me after some rest, here I'll help you out this cellar.'
Marley still seemed extremely cautious, and her friend still hadn't said a word but his eyes were filled with a sorrow that could make the happiest person fee depressed. Which made me wonder. What had happened down there. After bolting up the trap door, trapping the person with a broken arm inside I let Marley and her friend walk away together, as much as it hurt he needed to keep his distance until she remembered me. And I knew her "friend" was just a friend.
Therefore he prepared himself for a restless night of pacing and over-thinking.
