So here we are, me and Elliot, leading the rest of the pack forward through what seemed to be a never ending forest, I felt calm in the forest the scents of the tall trees calmed the wolf inside me, in turn making us as one calm. I could faintly hear the gush of a river and sweet birdsong of rare birds that filled the air. The full green branches made it difficult to see the sky but the glimpses that were caught, were of an outstanding orange going pretty pink sky. The pack had been given strict orders to stay with the pack and not to wander off by themselves.

Sniffing up, I smelt the clear stench of nearby vampires and sensed the pack around me do the same as Elliot tensed, but pushed forward.

After a few minutes, Jake came running up to me with a panicked expression. 'What's happened?' I asked instantly.

'It's Lupin, he went to... do his buisness... over by those bushes around ten minutes ago and when he didn't come back we went looking for him, and...and... all we found was a trail of blood...' Jake trailed off tears threatening to spill over his baby blue eyes.

I told no-one to go away from the pack alone. Especially Lupin he should of known better. Over these past few weeks he has been so good to me and he was like a father figure to me now. I couldn't lose him.

I. Could. Not. Lose. Him.

So I resorted to our back up plan.

Making sure my voice carried through the whole pack, I yelled 'DEFEND!'

Instantly the whole pack went into a large defence position, with the males around the edges poised for attack, protecting their mates and women.

I seperated from the formation, closely followed by Elliot, Jake, Chloe, Barry and Steve all flanking me.

Jake led us over to where the blood trail lay, we all easily picked up the scent and began to track.

We worked quickly as we were panicking about what was happening to Lupin. The scariest thing is, the further along the trail, the stronger the smell of vampires became.

I was very suspicious we were walking right into a trap.

We reached a place where the trees seemed to end and in their place was vast expanses of rocks and caves. This was a vampires hideout.

We walked out from our cover of the trees unafraid of these monsters.

The scent of Lupin was also more distinguished, but why would they want Lupin, they cannot drink werewolf blood it would kill them.

Whipping my head to the side, I saw that Lupin had been chained up with silver cuffs and chains, so he couldn't break out of them or shift out of them, his arms were strung out to either side of him as his body slumped forward in defeat, my heart went out to him, he looked so sad and lonely. It felt like someone twisted a knife in my stomach, to see him like this I sucked in a breath of shock and sadness. My utter pain was soon overcame by an overwhelming anger. Anger that could and would kill.

Lupin seemed to sniff the air and his head whizzed up and flash of hope flashed through his eyes, but only lasted for half of a milisecond, before fear replaced it as he looked somewhere behind me. He tried to talk but all that came out was a croak.

Sensing danger I turned back to the enemy ahead of me, and noticed that not only Lupin had picked up our scents. So had the vampires.

Many heads were turning to stare at us, their faces snow white and their eyes as red as blood.

With my heightened senses I managed to count atleast 100 in one glance.

Glancing at my companions I could see fear and horror plastered on their faces.
