Marely's pov *

My mother and sister must not have felt the urgency of the situation, as they slowly raises themselves from their places on the bed, sharing worried glances. Sceptical of my accusation.

I turned back to them.

"You can stay, if you want. But I cannot! Surely you can not expect me to stay after the abuse, I have suffered? Now you can come with me! Or you can stay, but I am leaving. Now!"

At that I turned and stalked down the long, desolate corridor! It was a good thing that no-one was around, but it made me suspicious, why was no-one around? I turned to see if my last remaining family were coming with me, but they were stood in the doorway watching me leave! A wave of sadness consumed me, I was alone in this world! I stopped for a second to meet the eyes of my family, as I mentally disconnected all emotional ties to these people!

Then, I turned back around and ran. Not once looking back! Maybe it was best this way, I would only have to worry about myself! There was something niggling at the back of my mind, demanding to be revealed, however when I tried to uncover it! It left my mind confuses and jumbled! Shaking my head,I focused my mind and all my energy onto escaping this compound!!

Suddenly I heard a lot of talking and mumbling coming from the courtyard, my curiosity got the better of me and I followed the sound, until the sound grew louder and I was right behind the doors, leading into the courtyard! I quietly slipped through, and ducked my head as to not be recognised, and made my way through the compact crowd.

When I raises my head, I saw a wooden scaffold with two nooses hanging from them! I gasped, people were gathering to watch a hanging? This was sick!!

A loud cheer rose up, as two prisoners were dragged out, heavily chained up in silver to eliminate any chance of escape, they were pulled up the creaky wooden steps, onto the platform.

Jay! It was Jay! Another male was dragged up after him, who I didn't recognise! Jay can not be hanged! This could not be happening, my world was turning upside down. I swayed a little, banging into a rowdy man next to me. "Steady love!" He retorted. I had to save him!! As the executioner was securing the rope around the necks of the prisoners, and made his way to the trigger, which would remove the platform underneath the prisoners, I fought my way through the crowd pushing and shoving. Oblivious to the shouts and complains that were left in my wake.

I heard the creak, and jerked my head to the trigger, were the executioner was just pulling the trigger.

The world seemed to move in slow motion, as I leapt up onto the platform, letting out a pained screech!

I saw Jay jerk down, I moved fast and suddenly turned to Jay and grabbed hold of his legs, held up all of his weight, as Jay let out a startled cry! I could hear the other prisoner choking behind me! But I could only save one!

"Marely..." a voice choked behind me.

That voice. I knew that voice. I half turned still holding Jay, which revealed the chaos of the courtyard, everyone was rioting and heading towards me!

I hadn't planned this far ahead!

What did I do now? I looked to the dying second prisoner!

A jolt shot through me!

"Elliot!"

Wait, where did that name come from!?

"Save him, Marley! Leave me! He is your soul mate!" Jay cried with urgency.

Elliot. Of course! Elliot! My love, my soul mate! And he was dying! But I couldn't leave Jay!

The chaos in the courtyard silenced,I looked up to see my father standing smiling up at me!

"Who is it to be Marley dear?"

No. No. I couldn't, choose!!

"MARLEY! SAVE HIM!!" Jay shouted

As he said this my attention was caught by Elliot choking,"Marr..Marley...I..I...love you," before he went still! I threw Jay down onto the floor of the wooden scaffold, as I leaped to Elliot and lifted him by his knees!

There was no response!

"ELLIOT! ELLIOT! ELLIOT TALK TO ME!"

I got him down and gently laid him on the ground.

"Elliot. Elliot baby, wake up! I'm here!"

Tears streamed down my face, as I reached out my shaky hand to feel for a pulse, at his scarred and red throat!

I waited and waited and waited.

There was nothing.

I laid my head on his chest, sobbing!

Deanna who had been silent, now let out a mourneful howl.
