Chapter 15: Drawn to power

####### Marley's POV ######

The next day, was saturday and I was planning on staying in, I didn't really feel too good. It was best not telling Elliot this, he would just go all protective. Yeah it was cute sometimes, but other times it was just annoying.

After getting up finally at 12.32pm, I asked Elliot to go out and get me some dvds to watch from blockbuster, it would give me some time by myself without him fussing.

Snooping around his appartment, I found an office with a shelf full of books, walking up to them I ran my finger over the spines until I found an interesting looking book.

Taking it out I sat down at his desk and started to read. Great, it was a horror book!

I got totally lost in the book, and when it got to a really tense part, there was a knock on the front door, letting out a little squeal, I pondered whether to open it or not still tense from the book!

Elliot would have a key wouldn't he? Maybe he forgot them. I sniffed up and smelt wolf, but couldn't tell any individual scent.

Oh, it's Elliot I'm just being silly.

Walking to the door I opened it,

but it wasn't Elliot.

It was a group of five, and we just stared at each other for a few minutes, when an older looking guy, stook his hand out to shake, 'Hi, we are some local rogue wolves, I'm Steve,' and I picked up some murmurs 'It's a girl?', 'Shut up!'

I ignored his outstretched hand 'What do you want!?' I snapped.

'Can we come in?' Steve spoke calmly.

'Hell, you can! You can tell me why your here!'

'Well, It's hard to explain, as you know we are rouges, we do not wish to be in a pack, but our wolves called to us and told us to come here and that a powerful wolf is situated here, and that we should join your pack, we couldn't of refused even if we wanted to.' Steve explained as if this was an everyday thing.

'Come in, ' I mumbled quietly stepping to the side. Kissing my alone time goodbye.

'Hi, I'm Barry,' A young wolf told me excitedly

'Lupin,' Said another nodding his head,

'Jake,' came in next, smirking at me.

I was glad to see a female wolf,

'I'm Chloe,' She said, giving me a hug... ok then, I don't even know her but...ok.

They all helped themselves to seats on the sofa, leaving no space for me I huffed in annoyance and stayed stood up.

'Ok, why the hell are you here again, and explain fully this time!'

This time Lupin spoke up,

'Wolves are automatically drawn to the nearest powerful wolf around them, like say when in a pack, you will stay by your Alpha, but us rougues had learnt to block this. That was until two days ago. We found ourselves walking towards this place, then we didn't know why or what was happening, until our wolves spoke to us in a joint dream. They told us, we were to come here and we would be helping to fulfil the old prophecies of the first generation of wolves. They told us it would be a great honour, and we would find a mighty wolf here and that this wolf would be able to do extraordinary things that defy the rules of wolfism, and the genetics that are embedded in us all. They said to go against what we had been for years; rouges and we were to join your pack, that is if you will have us.'

Whoah! This was all too much to take in, maybe any minute now I would wake up, and it would all be a dream.

I rubbed my forehead, and looked at the five pairs of pleading, hopeful eyes. Oh shit, they were waiting for an answer.

'erm...thing is...' As I said this all five faces dropped.

'No, no wait I was going to say, but I don't have a pack for you to join.'

A massive headache was coming on, I needed to sit down but all the seats were taken. That's when I heard a growl behind me, whizzing round there was Elliot, thank goodness. Suddenly going dizzy, black spots appeared in my vision as my mate ran over to me, why was he running, was my last thought before all went black.
