Chapter 30: Losing my mind

~~Elliot's POV ~~

After a long night, finally the sun began to rise and fill the room I occupied, if I wasn't so agitated maybe I would have enjoyed the sight, but right now I just needed to see my mate.

I marched out my room and followed her beautiful scent, and realised she was just down the corridor. I knocked heavily on the door of the place she staying in, I heard a few pads from behind the door from her feet padding against the floor on her way, to see who was at the door and when she opened the door, she looked groggy with need of sleep but still as beautiful as ever. 

'Yes? Can I help you?' She asked me 

Fear ripped through me,  

'Stop messing with me, I need you.' 

Her eyes widened a little and replied, 'I am not messing with you! I am just asking what you are doing here at this time!?'  

'I needed to see you,' I retorted 

'Why? I don't even know you!'

Those words nearly killed me, they ripped at my very soul. My wolf was screaming in my head, nearly shifting. No I had to stay strong. 

'Marley...' I whispered pain dripping from my voice.

Looking up at Marley,I could see she was confused.  

'I'm Sorry, I don't remember you...I'm sorry' 

She almost pleaded seeing I was in physical pain from her words.

With that Marley ran out of the room, I so badly wanted to run after her, but I knew that would only make things worse. Running my hands through my hair, I realised maybe that Man in that cellar had something to do with this!

Instantly I raced towards the cellar door, opened it and there was the same man I left there the night before. He was curled up in a ball on the floor 

I walked over to him and kicked him, right in the stomach making him groan, I did it again. 

'GET.UP!' I ordered 

The man sat up as best he could, I knelt down grabbed the scruff of his collar and lifted him up, right off the ground. 

'WHAT HAVE YOU DONE WITH MY MATE!?' I yelled 

He flinched a little but then smirked a little. Bad idea. I slammed him against the wall again and again, smacking his head against the concrete wall. 

'TELL ME!' 

'no,' The man said weakly. 

I slammed him to the ground in frustration and kicked him constantly in the head, and hesistated when he stopped moving. I bent down and lifted up his blood covered face by his chin, the white of is his eyes were showing. NO. He was dead. 

Now I was never going to find out what had happened to Marley!

Rushing back up the cellar I realised that other guy was in there with her too, that Jay guy. I followed the musty scent I picked up from last night.

I barged into his room and was suprised to see that Marley was in here hugging him, I growled. 

'Get. Away. From. My. Mate' I ordered him in a deadly quite voice. 

He took a step back away from Marley, and Marley looked panicked from me to Jay back to me again. 

Trying to move away from that I pointed at Jay 'You.' I said 'I need to talk to you.' I told him before walking out and waiting for him to follow.

When he did, he closed the door behind him, with Marley inside, and looked up with suddenly sorrowful eyes, and shoulders slumped as if in defeat. I wasn't here to pity him though. I needed my mate back.

'Please, tell me what happened down there in the cellar. What did that man do to her? And WHY can she not remember me?' I started off softly but I was getting more and more agitated.

'I..I d-don't know' He whispered.

'Well, you must of seen something? Anything? What did it look like he was doing?' I pleaded with him.

'He...he had this machine and it had little antennas attached which he conected to her chest and temples and then the machine started buzzing and vibrating once he switched it off, and Marley was...was whispering your name over and over, asking you to help her... then she just stopped and was knocked out cold. She was just went out like a light. When she opened her eyes about five minutes later her eyes...her eyes looked so... vacant and-and empty... she was staring into the distance as if she was daydreaming. Then she blinked and her eyes flashed red, which freaked me out and then she was struggling and shouting out NO constantly and thrashed about in her bonds and was screaming, until she slowly died down as if she was given anaesthetic and when she woke up, she seemed normal but a bit scared when she realised where she was, but she saw me and I tried to calm her down. Then the guy that was down there walked up to her and stroked her cheek and called beautiful, but she just turned her head and tried to get away. He was complaining about something not working and kicked a wall, then that was when you came in. And she didn't remember anything I thought it was just Amnesia but it seems to be permanent.' Jay told me, almost panting after that mouthful.

I just leaned against the wall slid down, stunned. That Bastard. I was glad I killed him. As Jay's words swirled round and round my head, all the peices seemed to fit in.

'He must of loved Marley... and wanted to erase the mates bond and make her love him... but it only half worked' I whispered in horror

Jay's eyes filled with tears, and looked crestfallen.

'There is something else...'

'TELL ME NOW!' I nearly yelled, annoyed he had not told me staright away. 'Whilst me and Marley were in the cellar, her father visited us, she had just stirred and he said to her 'Hiya my baby, how are you doing?' And she replied 'Fine,' But she won't remember that she was really groggy, and then he started talking to the man you found in the cellar. I don't know wht they were talking about. Sorry'

'WHAT!? Why did you not tell me this before? They were working together. They want Marley back, and with this memory erasing machine they could erase any horrible things she remembers them doing to her!?'

As I finished speaking. Loud and thudding footsteps could be heard marching up the corridor, with lots of other padding footsteps behind. As me and Jay turned to see who it was, Marley opened Jays door and peaked out.

To my utter suprise, I wa gobsmacked when I saw Marleys father stride around the corridor, with five guards in tow. The to my futher horror and dismay, Marley ran up to her father and hugged him. NO. THIS COULD NOT BE HAPPENING!!! Looking fearfully at me Marley held on to her father. When Marleys father ordered his guards.

'Seize them!'
