Otherworldly Love pt. 2

"What do you mean, a fairy?" I asked dumbfounded, my mouth agape.

Normally, I'd get up and march away at the mere mention of fairy-tale creatures being real and what not. However, the events that just took place right in front of me forces me to acknowledge the possibility.

Yunho sighs before sitting in front of me. His eyes are calm as he gazes at me, trying to find words.

"You see, fairies are the greatest being there is. They out-rank the humans, werewolves, vampires, and even the witches. Fairies have restorative powers, therefore making them immune to any bites, scratches, curses, spell, and so on from other beings."

He's quiet for some time.

"But fairies are also very rare to run across. There haven't been any in hundreds of years. You're either the start of a new bloodline, or the last fairy the world will see. If you're the head of a new bloodline... You might possibly be the strongest thing in the entire universe right now. Naturally, if fairies were wise enough to use their abilities, they were already powerful. But the head of bloodlines are always the strongest. And with this being a new bloodline? Who knows what flows through your blood."

I blow a strand of hair out of my face and stand up, brushing the dirt and leaves off my clothes.

"Oh, Y/n, one more thing... Now that you've been threatened by another creature, your once dormant powers will now be awakened. You can expect strange things to happen in the future. And.. Others will be out for your blood. So, it's safest to have someone with you at all times." Yunho calls out.

I turn to look at him.

"Well then, you stay with me from now on."

It's already been a year since then. Yunho and I have grown closer than ever, and he's been by my side every day. Nothing has threatened my life as long as he's around.

I've grown more used to handling my powers. At first it was rough, resurrecting each and every animal I passed and felt sympathy for, as well as every dead plant. It scared me the first few times, but Yunho reminded me of the healing powers fairies have.

Of course, while the threats on my life rarely came, there was one that resulted in us finding out the new bloodline... My bloodline.

I'm a phoenix fairy. Immortal, indestructible, and restorative. That's really why the vampires bite didn't phase me. Naturally, fairies are immune to other supernatural creatures. With me also being a phoenix, I'm immortal to any kind of damage; and, if anything does manage to take me out, I'll ressurect.

I close my laptop after finishing the last of my tasks and turn around in my chair. There, in my doorway, is Yunho. It's not uncommon for him to be here. However this time, he seems different.

The boy takes a deep breath before walking over to me. He kneels down to reach my level and takes my hands in his, causing my heart to leap. He brings his eyes to meet mine.

"Y/n, I know this is sudden.. But I can't stand it anymore. The more I wait, the more time I realize I'm wasting. I love you, Y/n, and I know that you'll live forever while one day I'll pass on... But because of this, I want to spend my life with you. Every second i could possibly have in this life, I want you to be part of it. I want to be the happiest memory you have of your first life. I want to be the reason why, in a hundred years from now, you remember me and smile. Please, Y/n, that's all I want. Just give me the chance to make you happy."

Okay, onto the next matter at hand...

Gah, I'm so sorry! Writers block has hit me HARD over here y'all. Not to mention I've been working most of the time now. And let me tell ya, working  at a meat processing plant is tiring. We're 3 cows behind so that doesn't help matters any. 😴😴
