I sigh and look out of my bedroom window. The full moon lights up the sky along with the stars. Not a cloud in the sky, it's beautiful.

I look at the time of  my phone. 11 at night and my boyfriend San still hasn't made it home. I decide to get up and change out of my pajamas into some capris and a tank top with my denim jacket. I can't sleep anyways, so I finish off with putting my boots on and walk outside into the chilly night air.

You see, I didn't live in the city, so there wasn't heavy traffic and nobody else walking about. I followed the treeline into the backyard. My eyes trail off to the giant oak tree that is topped off with a large treehouse in its thick branches.

My memories of my siblings and I playing in that treehouse come flooding back to me. I was the youngest of us, and when my parents died they signed the house over to me since my siblings had their own families and houses by then.

I still miss my parents to this day. They died just last winter. Almost a year, but not quite.

I'm pulled out of my thoughts as a shrill bone-chilling howl rings through the air. I start to become nervous, feeling like I'm being watched. I slowly turn around and look over the bushes behind me. I freeze and shivers run through my body as a pair of yellow eyes meet mine.

I squint my eyes to make sure I'm not seeing things. That's when a large silver wolf steps from the bushes, head hung low and a deathening growl coming from its throat.

I gasp and turn around, breaking off in a run as fast as my legs would carry me. Probably not the smartest idea for the wolf chased after me, clearly faster than me. Good thing I had a good distance head start. My only thought was the treehouse. Wolves can't climb after all.

As I reach the treehouse, I jump up into the ladder and start climbing. The rope isn't as sturdy as it used to be, and the wood was near cracking. I look back to see the silver wolf right below me. I start to calm down as it looks up at me, until it jumps up at me jaws open.

Just as the wolf was about to latch it's teeth into my ankle to drag me down, I see a blur and another growl as the silver wolf is knocked through the air. Shock crosses over me as I see what knocked the wolf down.

It's another wolf, but this one is much larger and soot black with blue eyes. The black wolves teeth are sinked into the silver wolves neck, shaking it around on the ground. The silver wolf doesn't even have the chance to fight back, for the black wolf places it's large forepaw onto the silver wolfs stomach and snatches at the wolves neck. A crack is all I heard before the silver wolf went limp.

I take the chance to quickly crawl into the treehouse, looking down at the black wolf. I expected it to try to get me as well, but instead it just walks over to the ladder and lays down looking up to me. It's eyes are much more gentle than the silver wolf had been. This wolves eyes draw me in, made me want to reach out to it.

I think it over before slowly crawling down the ladder again. I stop just above the wolf, far up enough for it not to reach me. It looks up to me and opens its mouth, it's tongue hanging out as it pants. I jump onto the ground d beside it and reach my hand out to touch it's head. To my surprise, it leans into my hand and let's me pet it.

I smile and look over at the body of the other wolf then back to the one beside me. He gets to his feet and nudges me with his nose, wrapping my arms around his neck. I look over at him as he lays down looking at me. Confusion crosses over my face until he nudges his back against my legs. Is he serious? He wants me to get on his back?

I think hard on it. What if he carries me off to eat me? No, he just saved me. And I'm not dead yet, am I? He obviously doesn't mean me any harm. O shake it off and just jump onto his back, hanging onto the scruff of his neck to not fall off.

He gently stands and makes sure I'm not going to fall before he starts running. I hug closer to him as he takes me to my house.

As we reach my front door the wolf lays down again and let's me off his back. I turn to him and thank him. Should I bring him in? Feed him? Show him how grateful I am? I know he's a wild animal, but animals have feelings too, and he saved my life.

I open the door and leave it ope  for him to walk in. The animal looks at me before stepping into my house. I walk into the kitchen and open all the cabinets and the fridge, gathering him some food. I put it all down in once bowl and let him eat while I go change clothes to go to bed. I'm exhausted.

As I lay down to go to sleep, I notice the wolf at my door, laying g there with his ears laid back on his head. He looks like a little puppy. I smile and Pat my bed, inviting him up. He gets up and runs over, jumping g I to my bed almost sending me flying. I laugh as he lays next time me, wrapping my arms around him. I know San may be mad that I sort of... Adopted? A wolf.

The next day I wake up, but I'm not hugging the wolf I fell asleep with. Instead, it's San. But.. He's naked?  Confusion flushes trough my brain. I shake him awake.

Once he opens his eyes, I flood him with questions.

"What time did you finally make it in? Did you see him? Where is he? Why are you naked?"

He shakes his head and groans. "Babe come on it's early." he whines, sitting  up. I just stare blankly at him causing him to sigh.

"Remember how I told you I had many secrets about me that you'd just have to wait and find out?" he asked. I slowly nod my head.

"Well, that black wolf that saved you last night... Was me. I'm a werewolf, Y/n."

...What.
