And thank you all so much for 9k reads. I don't deserve you all!

You look down at the thick paperwork in your hands. At the top in large red ink is a note:

MUST DO BETTER OR WILL FAIL THIS CLASS. END OF SEMESTER IS COMING!

You let a sigh out as you stuff the papers into your bag and walk out of the classroom to your locker, practically dragging your feet. You've been failing math for quite some time now, and neither your teacher nor your father was too happy about it.

You click your key into the padlock and twist it to unlock your locker. You unzip your bag and shove some of your books into the locker, taking the books that have your homework with you.

~~~~
You throw your bag onto the table and walk into the kitchen to take a bottle of banana milk out. You open the bottle and put your straw through the opening, then bring it to your lips.
You take some crackers out of the cabinet and open them, snacking on them. After a while, you hear the front door open. You guessed your dad was home early from work.
The man staggers through the door, obviously tired after a hard day. He hangs his keys and walks into the kitchen, stopping at the table.
You walk over to see what he's looking at only to see the papers in his hand. He sighs and turns to you.
"Y/n, what have I told you about this? This is the last straw, it's settled. You're getting a tutor."
~~~~~~

You can't believe what your dad told you that day. Seriously? A tutor? You couldn't believe it. Nevertheless, your dad had already talked to his friend and it's already scheduled for you to meet your tutor at he school library today.

You open the door to the library and look around. No one seems tutor-y so you walk over to the tables and slouch down into a chair, placing your bag on the ground. Before you know it, you're falling asleep with your head on your arms.

You're woken up as someone puts their books down onto the table. You jump up to see a fairly tall, handsome boy. He doesn't seem too pleased with you.

"Y/n?" he asked, looking for approval or denial. You nod you head and roll your eyes.

"Well then. I'm your mentor, Song Mingi. Why we're you sleeping?" he asks.

"I was tired." you say bluntly. The boy let's out a chuckle, his voice deepening.

"Well then, I see why your grades are horrible. With that attitude, I'm surprised mister Lee put up with you this long." he says, mentioning your father.

You open your mouth only for him to cut you off.

"Let's get one thing clear. Your dad asked me to tutor you. I denied his payment, knowing he's having a hard time. Now I'm not going to waste my time with you, Kim y/n. The best thing for you is to drop the sassy attitude." he warns, his voice gravely deep.

You gulp and nod your head, dropping your eyes from him. The boy sits opposite of you as you pull your math book out. He walks you through many equations, explaining how to find the answer.

To your surprise, he was very good at math and teaching. You got mostly everything down in the first two hours.

~~~~~~~~
It was the end of the semester. You were waiting on the results from your most recent math assignment.
So far, your grades had improved since your months tutoring.
You were walking through the school halls when you heard someone coming up behind you. You so in your head around to see Mingi. Throughout your tutoring, the two of you had become friends.
Though you didn't see how. He was extremely annoying, and drove you up and off the walls. He never shuts up cracking up jokes, he's always rapping, trying to sing(though he sound like war sirens), and playing video games. He's not the math nerd you expected him to be.
But nonetheless, the two of you grew to become great friends.
You feel and arm wrap around your shoulder and a new weight added. You look over and up to the boy, who had a goofy grin on his face.
"What do you want Mingi?" you ask. The boy scoffs.
"That's no wat to talk to someone that's older than you." he said sassily, placing a hand on his hip.
A smirk grows on your face. "You're absolutely right. I'm sorry, sir. You're holding your hip. You need your cane perhaps?"
Mingi's nose scrunches up and a look crosses over his face. You burst out in laughter and take off running through the halls, him chasing after you.
You never expected to be friends with the most annoyingly cute person ever, yet here you are. You expected this friendship to last a lifetime, and it did just that. Though after time, it grew into something more.
