plot

Depressed Blythe Sinclair stumbles into the wood a couple nights after Will Byers goes missing and finds herself stuck in the same dimension

Blythe has anxiety, depression, and insomnia. She constantly has bags under her eyes from getting no sleep. She smokes Cigarettes and occasionally drinks alcohol.

The only person she ever talks to is her brother, Lucas Sinclair. She never leaves the house unless it's for school, even though her brother has tried to get her to do something countless times.

When Blythe wanders around the woods one night, she is taken into a dark place, soon to be known as the Upside Down. She has no idea how to get out, but she finds one of Lucas' friends, Will Byers, hiding in his fort. She gave the boy quite a fright when she pulled back the blanket covering the entrance, but he soon relaxed when he saw who was there.

They keep each other company, and Blythe protects the young boy the best she can, and reassures him that they'll make it out one day.

Blythe does worse than Will in the toxic atmosphere, thanks to her ruined lungs.

If Hopper and Joyce had found them a day later, they both would've been dead.

In season 2, Blythe tries to be more open to getting out of the house, but everytime she tries to, she finds herself going back to that god awful place.

She begins to get closer to 'King Steve' as his reputation slowly falls, thanks to the new addition to Hawkins High, Billy Hargrove.

Billy treats Blythe horribly because of her skin color, and Steve defends her when he hears him do it.

Blythe becomes possesed by the Mind Flayer as well, but people don't really notice her possession quite as much, and when Will tries to tell them about they think it's the Mind Flayer trying to trick them by distracting them.

Blythe was with Nancy and Jonathan when the roots were burned, and they become very concerned, but she told them not to worry and that she was sure it was just a side effect of her episode.

Blythe goes with Nancy and Jonathan to Murray's, and he figures out that Blythe loves Steve, which shocks both Nancy and Jonathan.

When Blythe gets back from Murray's, she tells Steve about her feelings toward him while they were waiting at the Byer's house, after El, Hopper, Nancy, Jonathan, Joyce, and Will had left. He told her that he felt the same way and they kissed, which was soon interupted by Dustin. Big surprise.

Blythe almost died in the tunnels when they set the hub on fire. She had to be practically carried out by Steve. After making it out of the tunnels, they took Blythe to the hospital, when she stayed for a week, before she was healed enough to leave.

Blythe goes with Steve to drop Dustin off at the dance, and then Steve and Blythe have a date of their own.

In season 3, Blythe works at Scoops Ahoy with Steve and Robin. She helps crack the russian code, and gets stuck in a Russian elevator with them.

Blythe gets kidnapped with Steve instead of Robin, and she ends up telling Steve about what depression feels like after they were drugged.

Blythe hugs Lucas as soon as she sees him in the mall.

Blythe goes with Dustin, Robin, Erica, and Steve to contact Susie.
