In which something that started as one boy merely wanting to anger his family turns into a real love story

plot

Sirius Black only started dating Ryker Jinx to make his family mad. He didn't have any real interest in the boy, he just knee his family would be against him dating a boy, so he did. All of his friends knew, but none of them told Ryker, none of them warned the boy that while he thought he was falling in love, Sirius had no real affection towards him.

Everything had happened perfectly. He had gotten into another fight with his mother over Christmas, and only two days after returning to Hogwarts, Ryker asked the boy on a date, giving Sirius the perfect idea for a plan that surely enrage his entire family.

Ryker truly liked Sirius. He loved spending time with, and could talk to him for hours. He thought Sirius enjoyed his company too. He though Sirius liked him nearly as much as he liked Sirius, until one of his friends let it slip, not knowing Ryker could hear them.

James had gotten drunk on the same night Ryker had been making his way to the Gryffindor Common Room. He wanted to see Sirius, maybe even tell him he loved him, until he heard it. James let slip that Sirius had no real feelings for Ryker, and was only dating him to make his mother mad. He didn't know Ryker was standing behind him at that moment, listening to what he said and feeling his heart shatter.

He ran off, not turning back once, even when he heard Sirius call his name. Everything might have been fine. Sirius might have just ignored it and moved on with his life, allowing Ryker to eventually get over him, if he hadn't started to actually develop feelings for the boy. He wanted to make everything okay between them, he wanted to show he was sorry and make it known that that was only in the beginning and he actually liked him now, but he didn't know how to. That was until students from every house, even including a couple slytherins, had decided to throw a small party in the forbidden forest. It was Sirius to get drunk this time. He had stumbled around, dancing drunkily around the open fire, worrying Ryker until he finally decided to take him back to the dorms. He brought Sirius back because even though he thought Sirius had no real feelings for him he loved him. Sirius could barely stay conscious, but he knew it was Ryker who stood in front of him, setting him in his bed. And before he could stop himself, he was telling Ryker that he loved him. He told Ryker that he loved him very much, and that he was so sorry for ever using him.

Ryker wanted to believe him, more than anything, but he eventually brushed it off, blaming it on Sirius being drunk. But the next day, Sirius called him over to sit with him and the marauders at breakfast, and Ryker gave in, because the truth was that he missed Sirius. It rained that night, and Ryker found himself dancing in the rain, because it had always brought him a sense of comfort. Sirius, who had seen Ryker through the window, ran out with him. And before the night was over, he soberly confessed his love for Ryker and the two were together once again, all feelings real this time.
