He left but his words stayed in Hania's mind. More than the words the expression in his eyes worried her. She have seen those expressions somewhere before also.
Those expressions , those emotions which destroyed a part of her heart. Hania knew this well that she isn't the same person she used to be two years ago. Something inside her died.
Hania saw the same glint in Ayaan's eyes which she used to see in his eyes. Her heart questioned how it can be possible.. Ayaan is just a friend. There can't be feelings of love involved here. After battling with her thoughts for a long time she concluded that her heart is trying to find his reflection in Ayaan.
It was meant to be his place where Ayaan is standing. But destiny played a cruel part in her life. To get rid of these over burdening thoughts she reminded herself that this world is nothing just a temporary illusion and whatever happens there is a reason behind it.
She did ablution and decided to read Quran. She strongly felt those words healed her non physical wounds.
After she was done reading Quran , she called Saira. It was a mandatory rule in their friendship to share important happenings in their life to one another.
"Asalam o alaikum Saira , how are you. Yaar today I missed you so much. I wish you were here."
Hania said with a raspy voice"Walaikum asalam Hanu, alhamdulilah I am fine. What about you. I so wanted to be there with you but you know na Dad's health condition."
Hania replied with a hmm
" okay Hanu I am getting worried now what happened , did that bhonduram said something to you ? Or don't tell me uncle and aunty got scared seeing his creepiness."
Saira tried to say this in a serious tone."No Saira nothing like that happened. Instead dad and Ayaan's father are long last friends so they agreed and finalized things without much drama. Nikkah date is kept after 2 weeks." Hania spoke quickly
"Girl what are your plans ? You gave me a shock of 420 volt. Although I knew you won't delay things but I was not expecting them to be this quick. What was bhonduraam's reaction to all this ? Did you talk to him ? " Saira asked in a curious tone
" Ayaan was okay with all this. He convinced the parents to keep nikkah instead of engagement ceremony. He was bit skeptical but at last he understood. This is one thing which I really admire about him. He try to understand rather than dominate others. I feel guilty of not telling him complete but I have decided I will try to tell him. I can't deceive him. The way I trust him, I want him to trust me the same way. " Hania said with emphasizing on word trust meanwhile her eyes fell on the bouquet which Ayaan brought for her. Unintentionally a sad smile appeared on her face.
"Keeping aside his bhondu (dumb) side Ayaan is a good person genuinely. Maybe he is eager to get married soon so his secret can't come out in front of world. But then also you need to clear things first. So there is no blame game or emotional blackmail at end."Saira spoke in a firm voice
" Don't worry I will do something regarding it. I will try to keep you updated about all the developments. And yeah do pay a visit soon. Mom will surely ask about you and I also need your help regarding preparations. Whatever we think a real Nikkah is happening , we need to do all arrangements on our side. Take care , Allah Hafiz."
" Insha Allah I will come soon Hanu , Allah Hafiz " came reply from other side.
Hania chose not to discuss her internal battles with Saira it was of no use. She has to be strong for herself and for all the people who love her.
She went downstairs to spend some time with her family. She wanted to compensate the time which she have lost due to her fears.
Two weeks later
It was the day of their Nikkah. Hania had a sleepless night. Not only her past was haunting her but her recent action also stole sleep from her eyes.
